Suffocation

Stuck in the middle,
In the heaving mass.
Squashed, everything squeezing.
Suffocating in the crush,
The life squeezing out of me.
Slowly, it is slipping out of my soul.
Finally the life is gone,
I am a hollow,
Crusty,
Holed out,
Lifeless shell.
LOve me. :)

This has been done many times before. One question. Is the suffocation literal or figurative? Because that makes all the difference in the world.

Well obviously it has been done many times, who doesn't feel suffocated at least once in their life??
at the time of writing figurative, but before it was written, literal.
LOve me. :)

It feels like my chest is caving in, my ribs are pressing against my vital organs, I struggle to draw in breaths, they're drawn in ragged and exhaled in a wheeze.

Edit - The first part reminded me of a delerium induced fever that I had a few weeks ago. Apologies for what I wrote originally, it was a tad much.
