Young Adult Novel Daniel Pinkwater.

Being a lifelong fan of Pinkwater's chicken-and-freak-filled books, I naturally thought that YAN would be a nice read.
Okay. Speaking fairly, it was interestingly written and followed one of my favorite Pinkwater plotlines: a weird group of kids, called the Duck Dadaists, try to go against the world by being the weirdest they can possibly be.
This story DID include:
the word Dharma
Ducks/chickens
A girl with thick glasses
A total nerd
Crazy nicknames
A couple of psycho main characters.
All the Daniel Pinkwater main characteristics (NO AVOCADOS!) for books. However, this wasn't one of the crazy-juvenile delinquent books I thought it would be. (Okay, I'll admit, I was hoping for another Snarkout boys book. Sue me. :P )It mentioned several mature subjects and even included a lightly mentioned sex scene.

Overall, out of ten I would give it 7/10. It did contain Pinkwater's excellent trend of random mentionings of chickens, ducks and abnormal-sounding coffee houses.
Any other Pinkwater fans on here?

Human minds are more full of mysteries than any written book and more changeable than the cloud shapes in the air.
