I miss you
my son.
War is not your place.
As it was not your father's.

Do you remember the
distant mountains?
Protecting us from the
strife beyond?
Do you remember the
calm rivers?
Clear water
gleaming in the sun?
Do you remember the
tall green trees?
Giving life,
Giving shelter,
to the gentle animals?

They are all still here,
and have been untouched
by the winds of time.

Come home to me..
Leave the dark bloodshed
of war and victory...
Leave the burning villages...
The place you do not belong.

Come home.

My dearest mother,
Not a day goes by when
I do not think of
the calm rivers,
the distant mountains,
the tall green trees
that reach their arms to
embrace the sky.

The men grow restless.
They try to hide their fear,
but I see it in their eyes,
just as I know they can see it in me.
Words cannot describe the fear
that abides deep within
my heart.

I wish I didn't have to say
the word that I am about to...
Do not grieve for me,
for I would rather die twice
than have you shed a single tear.

And I will forever dream of those
wide open fields,
tall green trees,
and peaceful rivers..
and of you mother.
I will dream of you.

Great job! Almost brought tears on my eyes. LOVE IT!
Without sensibility no object would be given to us, without understanding no object would be thought. Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind.

They have separate topics. They've fallen a little, so just scroll down. I don't think you'll have to go another page back yet.
