𖢻 Blitzia Lore Compendium 𖢻 Roleplay Blitz Info 𖢻 DM : @Ranger Adventurers : @Glitch0Ghost2024, @RokitaVivi, @MothNBone Party Name : Vanguard of Eider Isle Likely RP Type : Realm The only reason why the Blitzia maintains a hold on this island is so that they can continue to mine a resource that isn't found anywhere else in the kingdom: Blue Amber, the fossilized remains of an extinct tree. Highly prized for jewelry and alchemy, the amber is mined by cutting trenches into seaside cliffs and landlocked canyons, extracting frozen blocks of ancient soil which is then thawed and parsed through. The easiest deposits have been long-since scooped clean; now, mining expeditions are sent into increasingly dangerous missions, into the mountains north of Eider Castle and out onto the tundra, teeming with frost wolves and outlaws. As is often the way history goes, the locals work as miners, but it is the elite from the mainland who make the majority of the profit. https://i.imgur.com/ocTE9eh.png PREMISE IDEAS To prepare you for your journey, we've created three ideas that would suit your region and genre preferences. You are more than welcome to tweak them to your taste or go for something else entirely. Remember that you'll need to complete this roleplay in a month, so the scope of your story should be small. 𖢻 FROST WOLF 𖢻 You're a group of amber miners who are trapped in the tundra by a hailstorm that won't end until morning. There's a giant frost wolf stalking you. Write about that night. 𖢻 ROAD TRIP 𖢻 An elderly, arrogant sorcerer from Onyx has been transferred to Eider Castle. Your party is hired to transfer them from the port to safety. Write about that journey. 𖢻 GOODWILL 𖢻 A pair of outlaws, fleeing the noose and the perils of the wilderness, seeks refuge in a couple of amber miners. Do they take the outlaws in? https://i.imgur.com/ocTE9eh.png DM CHECKLIST A handy guide to help the DM prepare the party for July's adventure! 1. Coordinate introductions and set expectations with your party. What kind of roleplay will you be writing? How will the party brainstorm, plan, and collaborate - OOC only, WFP, Riseup? What does everyone's weekly availability look like? What is everyone's time zones? 2. As a team, decide on a premise that everyone is on board with. This premise can be one of the three provided, a derivitive of it, or something else entirely, as long as it takes place in your region of Blitzia and adheres to the general Blitzia lore provided here . 3. Create a character profile template and share it with your party. We suggest all characters are created before outlining the story gets too underway. 4. Decide on a name for the story. At this point, you may create the official RP thread (under Storybook Sanctuary, Roleplay Realm, etc.), but posting the actual story can't begin until July 1st! When creating the official RP thread, please add "[RP Blitz]" to the front of the topic title, so that it looks like: [RP Blitz] Dragon's Maw 5. Brainstorm the story and begin working on an outline together. As a reminder, please keep the scope of this story SMALL. The outline should hit all the main story beats but doesn't need to get into too much detail. Here's an example outline: The Grocery Store : Your characters are preparing to make the perfect soup--but then, they realize they don't have the special ingredient! Can they make their way to the grocery store during rush hour and back home in time to eat their perfect soup before leaving for a birthday party? Our characters meet together at the house and have a good talk about how their days have been! In the middle of the talk, one realizes-- OH NO! We don't have the special ingredient for our perfect soup! Characters get dressed in their very fancy jetpacks to go to the grocery store, but the sky highways are SO busy at this time of day. They try to use the sky highways. When they come across a huge road block, they decide they should find a different way to the grocery store. Our characters land on the ground and try to walk over the apocalyptic ground and avoid zombies. Attack!! Run from the vampires!! Our characters have a huge fight and chase scene, and barely escape with their lives. Secretly, one of them has gotten bitten... DUH DUH DUHHHHH! Looking a bit worse for wear, our characters finally reach the correct neighborhood of the grocery store--but now, since they don't have their jetpacks, they can't pass the security fence meant to keep dragons out! Oh gosh, whatever will we do? One character goes, "Hey!! I have a brilliant idea! Let's use our earth magic to tunnel our way INTO the jetpack parking lot. That way, we avoid any vampires, we don't have to try to climb and avoid dragons, AND we get to find the secret ingredient! Also, confession time, I got bitten by the vampire :[." GASP! The other characters go, "Oh no! We will magically solve that problem later. But first, your idea sounds great. Can't wait to eat soup!" After a lot of hard work, our characters are in the parking lot and enter the store. But-- GASP!! It is OUT OF THE SECRET INGREDIENT!! This is a tragedy. Sad and soupless, our characters taxi-jetpack home, using the money they would have used for the secret ingredient. Our characters finally get back home, depressed and with no soup. Then, LIGHTBULB MOMENT. One character goes, "WAIT! The secret ingredient is LOVE!!! WE CAN MAKE OUR SOUP! And ALSO, that is how we cure vampirism so now we are all safe. Yippee!" TRIUMPH! Our heroes victoriously sit down to bowls of perfect soup. Then, one of our characters, Charles, says, "hey wait... did we ever get a birthday present for the party tonight?" Facepalm moment. Oh, Charles , you silly man!! The SOUP is the present! And the past. And the future. Everything is soup. End of roleplay. :] 6. When you've finalized the outline, post it here in the OOC and tag @DungeonMaster. We need to receive the finalized outline from you by June 30th in order for everyone in the party to earn the Blitz Bard Badge! 7. Beginning July 1st, the roleplay may begin. Thanks for letting us know! I actually wanted to do a little check in before thursdays rolls around. How’s everyone feeling write in wise? Is there a day that works better for everyone? We can also do once every week or once every two weeks if you all prefer!

So update! I found out that my work usually end at 4 p.m. but those other times when I got home late was just overtime since some of my coworkers are somewhat incompetent. Fortunately my time got fixed so I'll still come for future write-ins

Awesome that your times got fixed and glad to hear you can still make it!

On the topic of write ins, I’ve decided to take a week break starting probably Sunday or Monday from being online to live in the moment! I’ll be back though and once I’m back hopefully we can get the ball rolling again on this!

I am sorry I kind of vanished. The last few weeks have been a tad crazy, and the write-ins slipped my mind ( fully my bad, but between power outages and family stuff I've been a bit preoccupied)
