LMS VII: Crimes in Diaspora

I'll be (mostly) posting everything here for LMS.

I'm working on a couple of collections for sure: "california gothic" and "earthquake weather," both series I started in NaPo. I'll probably end up naming at least one more as I go (family or religion, maybe?).

ETA: thematically I'll probably be all over, from family to history to religion to nature (the sun tries to kill us every year, yo). So, I guess that's potentially a content warning? I don't usually go into anything I'd consider even 16+, but mileage may vary.

Since I hadn't said it before - yes, comments are welcome!

This was all written between yesterday (starting at midnight EDT, when I was still in that timezone) and tonight (back to PDT). I'm going to attempt to add at least one more poem this week, though.

Week 1 - 18 lines so far. I think 3 different poems, one I am still not happy with, thus two different versions.

I don't know if this will work but I'm going to attempt to upload a screenshot from my tablet.

Attempting more from the tablet, mostly to see if this will work when I go to my brother's in a couple weeks, since I do not want to have to bring my entire laptop with me if I can avoid it.

I wrote like 5 lines last night, then finished the rest today (I kept moving line breaks, thus five-ish). These honestly feel rougher than how NaPo goes, which is interesting. I'm mostly resisting to urge to edit so far, but I'm not sure how long that will last. This is 23 lines plus a prose poem that I'm not sure how to count lines for. Depending on how much it bothers me I may go back and edit these/repost.

(it will bother me. I maybe have started poking at things already. Just after I took the screen shots)

Week 2:

A poem and a thought, adding another 10 lines for week 2.

Here's what snippets I have so far for week 3. 18 lines.

A couple of these are definitely going somewhere, but I lost the thread. 19 lines.

I'll be back with more later. I would blame alliyah for sticky note poetry, but I really only have myself to blame.
