I was told to introduce myself and I generally do what I'm told (boring, I know), so here goes nothing.
I go by many names, but for simplicity's sake, let's go with my screen name Phantasmagora - or if you want to keep it even more simple, some parts of the internet know me by Thalia. I'm always in the market for new nicknames, though. One I was particularly flattered by was Thesaurus, so you're welcome to use that one, too.
Writing has been my coping mechanism, escape and therapy tool since I can remember.
My first documented story (no joke) was written on the back of a postcard (that I did not send) and I crafted it within the first semester of first grade.
So I guess I was a young writer, though I'm not sure I'd be able to call myself young anymore.
When it comes to what I write, I'm quite eclectic - why stick with one thing when you can pick and choose whatever strikes your fancy? Unfortunately, that also means that I get distracted by shiny new plot and character ideas and tend not to finish the old ones (ADHD, I guess), but at the same time I stay weirdly attached to characters and worlds I create and often return to them when a wave of nostalgia hits. It's a perpetual cycle of decay and renewal.
Why am I *here* specifically? Well, I am blessed with an amazing group of friends, including the ethereal @Willowsong and the lovely @Tikaya, who half tempted and half bullied me into signing up. I'm trying to relight my writing forge anyway, so why not?
So, hello, fellow Wordsmiths! I hope I can flex my writing chops a little and find a few more stories, treasures and trinkets to carry with me in my very own memory palace.
