Ayy Hello!

I'm current;y working on a book (once/if I publish it will be in manga/comic form)

So I'll be giving lore dumps before sending out chapters

So for the first one I'm giving ya'll a sneak peak on the characters!
(As well as some other details glup...)

First off, this book will be set in a third person POV, because to me, that gives me the ability for you to explore all the characters! If you have any questions ask them here and I can clear stuff up! If your question's answer is a spoiler, I will send a message like this, "Answer is a spoiler! Feel free to give some theories on the answer! I will not comfirm or deny anything."

Let's get on with it.

First off, the POV character...

Toru Yoshino!!!

Wow, Japanese name. All these characters have them. Not in Japan though. Or anywhere specific. ANYGAYS

He's a Fracture in the ACC (more on that later.) He's uh-- 5'2 (shorty *cough*) and 16. His favorite food is pineapple. Uses a wakizashi (a tradtional Japanese shortsword) in battle. Imprinted core at birth... hoping that's good to say. Trying not to give too much information heh heh

Next is: Shoji Kazuki!!!

Also a Fracture, paired up with Toru. 5'7 and 15. His favorite food is some kind of curry. Uses a katana (ya'll better know what that is...) Imprinted core when he was in 7th grade. Also can't give too much info on him... because he's kind of important.

Hikaru Nishikawa!

A Breaker and teacher of Toru and Shoji. 6'5 (tall...) and 38. Her favorite food is red bean paste buns (they're so dang good...). She uses whatever she does. I don't know glup... and uh- you know the drill

Abnormals: These beings come in all kinds of species, but along with a species name, they come with class and danger level. Classes are what ‘family’ the abnormal belongs to, like how frogs belong to amphibians. Abnormals are anything that look like demons and ghosts, to cats and people. Stronger abnormals (with a danger level of 7-10) can have a domain, if they so choose. Very few abnormals decide to team up with each other, but sometimes abnormals, with a lower danger level, often follow abnormals with domains. Abnormals also have different abilities depending on what species they are. (Ex: Dragon-like abnormals may be able to breath fire or something)


Domains: Domains are created from abandoned areas that were once highly populated, or places where a lot of deaths or accidents occurred. They are only created by high level abnormals (6-10). When entering a Domain, it allows you to see whatever abnormals are in the Domain, and it’s even harder to leave if your core isn’t imprinted. There are only two ways to leave, either by killing the abnormal in control of the Domain, or by simply leaving from where you entered. GLUP PRETEND THIS IS A SPOILER MARKING TEE HEE WOULD GIVE A MINOR SPOILER


Cores: Cores are a purely symbolic way to say if somebody can see abnormals or not. An imprinted core is a way to say that you can see them, and an unprinted core you can’t. There isn’t really a way to “damage” a core, because of it only being a word, not an object, but there are ways and certain abilities that can take away the imprint on the core for a short or long time. For a core to be imprinted, you either need to be injured by an abnormal, be an abnormal, or be born with an imprinted core, which is rather rare.


Abnormal Containment Corps: These are the people in charge of getting rid of abnormals, and there are five ranks. First is Sound. These are the students and people who have imprinted cores, but do not have an ability yet. Splinters are people with a newly awakened ability or a healing ability of some sort. They work in groups of five, working on crowd control and smaller threats, being watched by Sounds. Then there are Fractures. These are the people who take care of mid level and lower high level threats. They work in pairs under a Breaker, to learn to use their ability in more ways than one, and are basically the direct students of a Breaker. A Breaker is the second highest level in the ACC, training Sounds, Splinters, and Fractures depending on the situation. Some Breakers never take on students until they are older, or never at all. It’s all based upon their own personal preference. Next are called Pillars, the highest level in the Corps. There are only eight Pillars in total, and are stationed in different bases around the ACC’s territory. They take care of level 10 abnormals, and usually work with many others to take one down. Each Pillar is required to teach one Fracture pair in the case of their death, so that one of the two Fractures can take their place after death. (ACC)


The Containment Corps School: There is a school for people with imprinted cores, all around the world. These schools are to make sure that no one gets suspicious of a student’s distractedness or fears of things that others cannot see. Along with normal schools, the Containment Corps also has schools for people to train to go into the corps. Those who train often begin at middle school level, or whenever their core is imprinted. These schools are after school. (The school is just for imprinted cores being separated from unprinted cores, and the training school is an after school thing)


Imprint Core Abilities: When somebody’s core is imprinted, they usually have an ability that will lay dormant until unlocked. To unlock this ability, you can undergo training, a high stress situation, and pretty much anything you can think of. In the ACC, if you so desire to join, they set you as a Sound until you unlock your ability, then you can begin to ascend other ranks with hard work. --- Watch me give the weakest dude a strong ability, and a strong dude an escape route- (glup...)


That's all for now... when I get closer to the point of uhh... stuff, I'll finally tell you what an Aberrant is. Also this is like- almost half of my lore. I didn't write much. Glup...

So… before posting or writing some more, I’m going to fully write out all the backstories, just in case it ever comes up, and so I am going to focus on that for a little bit before continuing to write.

I also have beginning to really get into this book, so it’s definitely going to be confirmed like a manga/comic; writing it out first helps a lot. I’m going to also fully finish the story before drawing (although I will draw some panels I really want to draw as practice for future canon ones)

Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to this, but writing and drawing takes up a lot of time, along side school. BUT! I can give you guys sneak peaks and stuff if you want it?

On a smaller note- I will post art in here of the characters when I can!

I'll be changing the plot of this book a little, and I'm going to try to make the whole thing cleaner than it is right now. I change things a lot, so expect messages like this a ton.

I am working on some designs for all the characters, until they all fit, and I'll try to post any art here. I'll also be changing Nishikawa and Masaki quite a bit, and I'm completely changing the first big villian.

I'm trying to make the story kind of built like Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer), where there are different arcs focusing on one or more antagonists, leading up to the main antagonist at the very end. It won't be completely set up like this, but yeah.

So if you like anime or manga, this might be the kind of book for you. So... ask me questons if you have any, I enjoy talking to you guys!

Small but not small update-- again...

I'm rewriting every piece of lore to better fit my vision! So uh... ignore everything in the first message-

A lot of the plot is starting to come together a bit better, and some of it is changing. What I'm going to do, is plan the entire thing- the panels, lore, bits and pieces on each page, character designs, what happens in each book, etc. I'm also thinking about what each cover looks like! So...

I hope you all enjoy this series later on, and I hope it later reaches the hearts of many manga and anime fans! This area is now not just going to be story lore, but also my progress going into this book!

Keep in mind, it will most likely take a few years for me to even release the first book.

Hello hello! Again lmao

I'm debating on if I should have cameos or not. For those who don't know, a cameo is whenever the author lets people input their characters in a book, comic, show, ect. This usually only happens with smaller books, BUT there have been one or two in MHA, and there may be even more in other books I read and just haven't noticed them before. Because I'm thinking of this, I'm going to tell you Toru and Shoji's abilities (Once the edits are finished), so you can get a feel for what the abilities in this world looks like. I can also share Nishikawa's... but nahhh (Totally not because I've changed it five different times...)

I'm focusing on trying not to make the characters seem too overpowered, and more balanced, no Yoriichi (/silly) type characters in this story. I also probably will make a template and rules if I do let cameos, and I will be very picky about accepting these gulp

Update: I'm now working on building the characters! I've edited and made the main lore points, and I took away the danger level system I had, because it was rather limiting. I need to make a list of their strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, birthdays, etc. It'd be fun when it's realesed to do little events surrounding the character on their birthday. I have a really big bio thing I found on Reedsy (I think???) that I can use that has a ton of details.

Black turtle neck thing - I just like the look of turtle necks lmao. I also think it fits nicely with the color of his hair.

Yellow flannel/jacket/cardigan/whatever you call this - I orginally wanted to have a plaid flannel- but the chapters will most likely be hand drawn (as in I'm using my single finger on a busted up iPad or phone) and it would be a pain to constantly draw it. I went with plain yellow for a... specfic reason I'll get to at somepoint whenever I have like... a couple chapters out. (That'll... take a while)

Blue jeans - Mostly just a placeholder- but I do like drawing jeans so it might stay.

Hair in general - In my head, I also imgained Toru having black or just generally dark hair. His hair style, however, if something that I will defiently change, because it looks too alike to my persona Archie, so that's something I'll for sure change.

Brown eyes - Just a simple color that goes well Totally won't change at all...

Tanish skin - Idk thought I'd see how tanner skin would look and I liked it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, hello again! I'm here to give you guys some edits on the story! I've decied I am going to say some of the plotline here- once I get to that, as well as more on the details of the characters, and more! This is also so ya'll can get more connected to the story.

Starting off, if it wan't already obvious, Toru is going to become an Aberrant fairly early on.
I deciede on this because I wanted more time to explore how he feels and stuff, and do a whole arc with him, Shoji, and their teacher trying to keep the situation under wraps, a court thing, etc. Just so ya'll know- he will be getting a tail. Because I can, and also for the fact that he isn't really good at converying his emotions very well, so giving a tail to him can show easier when he's calm, amused, mad, etc.

Next thing to address is just the lore in general. I've done a lot of rewording and redesigning, and might remove some features of the story later on, to help it blend better so... this is also gonna be somewhat of a lore dump, but it also has notes on each thing.

Charcter Dump #1

Name: Toru Yoshino
Looks: Black hair, medium length hair, brown eyes, male, 16, 5’2 (Later on 5’11)
Personality: Toru is a bit of a hot-headed person. He is responsible, and tries to keep Shoji out of trouble. He tends to be purely annoyed by Shoji’s jokes, especially the ones about his height. He is quiet from time to time, especially when there’s something bothering him or if something's wrong.
About: Toru’s soul has been imprinted since birth, meaning from the moment he could open his eyes, he was able to see every abnormal in his view. He is a Fracture in the ACC alongside Shoji.
Ability Details: Toru’s ability is called Domain Door. It has two functions: One that works in Domains, and one that works in both settings. The first function allows him to make a quick exit door to outside the Domain. To make this door, he needs to create a big enough shape to allow him and other people to go through, using chalk or blood. Then he must knock twice, to create the temporary exit. This is helpful in situations where he and/or others need to escape, but he has to be the last one through or the door will close (This does not work when inside a level 9 to 10 Domain, or if an abnormal is canceling an ability). The second function is used a lot for battle. If Toru puts his palm down on a flat surface, he can almost teleport short distances (what’s really happening is two doors appear at once, and immediately allow for Toru to enter. This doesn’t allow anyone but the user to go through). This is developed later in the series, when he uses his ability outside of a Domain for the first time.

So... for one I might change his personality completely. I'm debating on making him less... angry and more cold and closed off. At the same time I don't want an emo ahh main character, so his personality might be a bit more like a fox, if you know what I mean, in a way. He'll seem loud, cold, and angry at first, but once you get to know him he just has a whole lot of trama is acually kind of quiet and sweet.

...Holy yap. You might not be able to follow this a lot, but the sound it makes when it opens is kinda like when the Demon Slayers fall into the Infinity Castle. So... a biwa, but probley a bit different. Also a note that inside the little exit door/teleporty thing is like a pocket dimension of somesort. I also really like his ability for someone who is suposed to be very battle orintented. Also, I changed cores to just souls if you didn't catch on. This ability would probably appear whenever his dad gets killed like... right infront of him, because in his mind he was probably thinking Run, run, run, run, run or something.

Looks: Short, blond hair, green eyes, tends to wear formal clothing unless in battle, male, 15, 5’7
Personality: He likes being clean, but when fighting abnormals, sometimes he seems like a different person. He likes to make jokes towards Toru a lot, from his height, to how he acts towards other people. On the inside, he cares a lot about other people, and tends to be a little self-sacrificing.
About: Shoji’s soul was imprinted by a cat-like abnormal when he was in middle school, which that same abnormal still hangs around him to this day. He favors dual katanas in combat, and is Toru’s Fracture partner.

Name: Rei Nishikawa
Looks: Medium Length blond hair, female, 38 , 6’5, blue eyes
Personality: She is incredibly strict and has hard training exercises, but she means well. She is calm and caring on the inside of her tough exterior, but still takes a lot of things seriously. She isn’t great with social cues, or giving her own; even when it seems like she’s mad, she might be grateful or excited.
About: She was young in high school, around Junior age, she was attacked by an abnormal, later being saved by a Breaker.
Ability Details: Rei’s ability is called Hawkeye. Whenever she snaps her fingers together, she can summon a large bow and create arrows, in exchange for some of her blood. This ability almost never misses, but it only affects Aberrants and abnormals, not people.

Okay so... like- this might change. I feel like needing specfic things is kind of limiting for my story. Also, it is slightly too close to DanDaDan in a way. I can't explain it but the vibe is just too similar. It might change to be something like, it's basically the abnormal's house or something, or it depends on the abnormal.

Haha short sentance. I'm... getting rid of the danger level stuff. It ended up being too limiting, and it's too close to Kaiju No. 8's kaiju level thing. So uh... any abnormal can make a Domain, if they are strong enough to maintain it, and have a mind of their own. Or something like that.

When entering a Domain, it allows you to see whatever abnormals are in the Domain, and it’s even harder to leave if your soul isn’t imprinted.

Okay so- first of all- this probably won't change., but I'll add on that your soul gets imprinted if you are injured in anyway within the domain, or by messing with an object in that domain. Also the D isn't specfically capatolized anymore. Maybe.

All abnormals automatically have an imprinted soul, because abnormals are usually the ones who cause them. To have an imprinted soul, you either need to be attacked by an abnormal in some way, or be born with one. Being born with an imprinted soul leaves no Imprint Mark, and it usually happens during complications with the birth, or if the mother and/or father have an imprinted soul, but there is still a pretty rare chance that your soul would be imprinted. Also, imprinting needs a little bit of time to settle on your soul. At first, you’ll only see the abnormal that caused the imprint, but over the course of 24 hours, you’ll soon see any abnormals around.

Also, imprinting needs a little bit of time to settle on your soul. At first, you’ll only see the abnormal that caused the imprint, but over the course of 24 hours, you’ll soon see any abnormals around.

The time period might change, to a couple of minutes to an hour or two for plot reasons.

Aberrants: Aberrants look similar to abnormals, sharing the same black scleras and regenerative organs, but they were once human. They’ve been changed through a process, usually overnight to a week, and it requires a few things. You need to be born with an imprinted core, and your blood needs to be compatible with abnormal blood, which helps prevent your cells from combusting while you become an Aberrant. There are few ways to trigger this process. The first is an organ transplant or blood transfusion, or just some way where a large amount of abnormal blood gets into your body, and merges with your own. The other way is making contact with specific sealed objects, with nine being in existence. These sealed objects contain the sealed soul of a once powerful abnormal. These souls, outside of a Domain, take the appearance of dust or wind, so if someone opens it, they may unknowingly absorb the soul by inhaling it. The Aberrants that go under this kind of contact, tend to go through a more painful process, because the sealed soul has to align with whoever opened it. (Wow, an extremely painful process? More trauma? Yay!)

Okay so, before making some notes, I just gotta say I love my concept for aberrants right now, and I feel like I need to explain why I chose that name.
Aberrant means "something that is abnormal, unusual, or departs significantly from the standard, expected, or typical course." When I found this I knew it was perfect to explain what aberrants are. So uh- on with the notes.
