Here's a breakdown of some of the ideas I have going. You may've heard me pitch some of them before, but I've since expanded on them and added a couple of new ones!
Bendy RP:
Spoiler
The ink calls out to you…
Normally, you’re just an employee of Joey Drew Studios and its new head, Audrey. In your work, you’ve become a component of a beloved or conceptual toon character, be it their voice or their animation. But after following some instructions left by Audrey, telling you and some of your coworkers to "fix" the Ink Machine, an inky haze scares you to death--and now you've spawned from one of those awful black puddles. You're now the newest inky amalgamation in the depths of the Cycle--a nightmarish alternate reality generated from the Ink Machine. Everything seems so quiet around you, but don't be fooled. The Ink Demon has returned, and worse yet, a new terror haunts the Cycle. You must survive long enough to reach Allison’s hideout. She's your only chance of freedom.
Pros: short-to-moderate length, simplified character creation, simplified lore that's mostly non-player friendly, less requirement/pressure for collabs, a lot of opportunity for more independent writing.
Cons: maybe kinda slow, lots of wandering, and prompts may be kept intentionally vague so a lot of the idea-making/writing work would fall on the participants (which I know a lot of you guys like, but some may want stronger prompts or more direction).

Five Nights At Freddy's (Security Breach) RP:
Spoiler
You're a human in the area of the closed Freddy Fazbear Pizzaplex. Maybe you're a local cop or worker who witnessed a crazy kid breaking in, maybe you're a friend/sibling of said kid who got called for backup, or maybe you just saw the commotion and wanted an excuse to do some urban exploration. Only, as you search for the girl, you didn't expect to get caught up in the seemingly infinite hazards this place has to offer.
Or...
You power up, software outdated yet functional. Your coding tells you to get to work, but you're stuck here in storage. As a matter of fact...your home seems to be in ruins! Before you know it, you're confronted by a strange girl, who has booted up some of the other animatronics in the area--ones that are conceptual, outdated, side-shows, or even scrap. Well, you're not sure how much of this falls in line with company policy, but your top priority is to ensure safety and provide good service--so that's exactly what you'll do!
All in all, whether you're a human rescuer or an animatronic guard dog, you must help this amateur investigator as she investigates the disappearance of several children and the main animatronic cast.
Pros: Short-to-moderate length, collab-heavy, expansive and colorful character creation possibilities, lots of opportunity to insert fan lore, lots of potential character dynamics, lots of spooks without being overly grizzly.
Cons: Scheduling could be an issue for collab-heavy parts, being an animatronic may limit your character since they're robots, some lore/references could potentially become confusing for people unfamiliar with FNAF.

Elden Ring RP:
Spoiler
The fallen leaves tell a story…

In the Night of Black Knives, Godwyn the Golden was slain by the Black Knife Assassins, with blades forged from the stolen piece of the Rune of Death.

Lunar Princess Ranni was the Empyrean--heiress of godhood--that spearheaded this betrayal, before she slew her own divine flesh to forsake her destiny.

In her rage, Queen Marika shattered the great Elden Ring, a sacred artifact born of a golden star, representing order in the Lands Between. Now Marika and her consort, Radagon of the Golden Order, are nowhere to be seen, and the husk of the ring, the great Erdtree, lies impenetrable.

The Golden Order has been corrupted by the shattering. Marika and Radagon’s children, demigods all, war over the shards of the Elden Ring. Once glorious members, tainted by the power of the shards.

Now we, inhabitants of the Lands Between, sworn warriors and mages of the once-proud demigods, can only watch as our leaders become corrupted, and our home across the fog becomes evermore a wasteland…
Pros: moderate length, intense epic-fantasy themes, a chance to use Elden Ring's unique skills and magics (or make your own!), PLENTY of open-ended concepts and lore to build on or create new things (therefore making it more friendly than most options for non-players), lots of room for independent writing
Cons: commitment-heavy, a LOT of pre-existing lore and worldbuilding to get down, you would be encouraged to offer up your character for death in the end, would also become a lot more collab-intensive toward the end (super fun but could easily become a scheduling hassle)

Zelda RP:
Spoiler
[Mainly based on Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, but can still feature elements across other games. It's fanfiction after all--we can bend the rules of lore a bit!]
The land of Hyrule cries for help. A wicked Twilight Sorceress has opened the gate for Ganon, with the promise of a divine blade and a hero's soul for her own sordid goals. Meanwhile, Ganon only wishes to take the pieces of Hyrule’s most powerful relic and reduce the land to ruins. With Princess Zelda guiding from afar, and the Master Sword ready to awaken, the destined hero, Link, is on the path to that very relic: the divine Triforce.
It seems like each incarnation of the hero, the demon, and the goddess grows stronger, but nevertheless, Link is young and still struggling to awaken his full potential. He will need help along the way.
Pros: moderate-to-long length, simplified lore and worldbuilding, lots of opportunity to insert original lore, unique character roles, pretty friendly to non-players and original characters
Cons: central focus would be on Link, risk of becoming repetitive with dungeons, could become more collab-heavy as it goes, characters may be somewhat limited depending on species

Spoiler
The final bell rings, and you join your typical group of high school friends. Everything seems like another great day. One of your friends has just returned from abroad, and with her, she brought a creepy new game to try. You’ve tried Blood Mary in the school mirror, the Midnight Game in a local abandoned house, and this paranormal fanatic even SUPPOSEDLY played the Bathtub Game and got stalked by Daruma-San for a day. Just like all of those games, this is bound to be another silly hack that would result in a bunch of childish giggling and taunting, rather than any serious spooks.
Oh, but you’ll learn your lesson soon. Because this game is not like the others, and the entity behind it is deadlier than all those silly urban legends combined. Beware her bloodlust, because it’ll take more than a little chant to survive this dreadful place…
Heavenly Host.
Pros: Short-to-moderate length, fast-paced, simplified lore, very friendly to non-players, lots of potential character dynamics and roles, great for horror-lovers, would be collab-intensive at first but then open lots of room for independent writing and schedule-friendly smaller collabs
Cons: VERY GORY, and if staying true to the source material, at least half the characters are likely to wind up insane or dead. The Corpse Party games are also Japanese so there may be discrepancies in language, descriptions, lore, etc.

If any of these sound good, pls vote, and/or tell me what you like and some ideas that could improve them! I'm also open to hearing your ideas for a game-inspired RP!
