Tomatoes and the Sun

One wonders if tomatoes look to the sun
as an inspiration, or perhaps a source of envy.
Watching their muse crawl across the sky
during a lazy summer day, the tomatoes
plump up into spheres -- first bright green and opaque
then light green and translucent, then yellow
like the sun.

But their imitation doesn't last for long because
too pleased with their coloring, they blush
until the only thing left is a juicy red tomato.

Okay... this one is hard to read, so I will transcribe it later, but consider it proof that I completed Napoweek with flying colors. :)
