ST. PANDURAVE HOUSE: SPRING IS IN SESSION, BUT SO ARE OUR UNWELL TRAVELERS

Status: An winding road has brightened after the night sky turned into dawn. It is now mid afternoon. An dreamcatcher has been dangled on an lantern, and an repairman just repaired latches and switches on an washing machine, preparing to happily wash whoever comes in needing help. The only nurse that can admit an patient right now is an man. An quite intelligent man

What once was an hungry leopard has grown into an beast of its own, but gentle and non-combative to be not only tamed for patient therapy or protection, but expressive enough to feel out patients and their fears and desires. And now, the nurse was awaiting on an mahogany step stool for an patient to come in. Bathed and lathered with an light golden lotion, he stood out like an rose in concrete, bright and an bundle of warmth.

Now he would just have to hope that he could assist in the process of saving an life on her own. He'll earn an large sum of money, yes. But assistance in his eyes did not require much payment. Waiting was necessary, and that was all he could do.

James lost track of how long he'd traveled down the dirt road winding through the thick forest. The further he went, the further moss crept up each tree, like it consumed the forest.

For as out of the way as this hospital was, James hoped it would have something for his leg.

He knew he'd waited too long to get help. The wound hadn't been healing right from the start, and now the pain was shooting up his leg: burning, and unbearable. He knew it was infected for how much it was inflamed, and the oozing was never a good sign.

Hope was finally in sight when he saw a building up ahead, tucked away in the trees. Desperation pushed him forward, riding his horse to the entrance faster. When he came alongside the building, he forced himself to hop down from the saddle slowly, bracing himself for the pain that radiated up his leg when his foot met the ground.

Gritting his teeth, he found the nearest tree and tied off his horse, Elliot, and hobbled carefully but hastily to the front door, giving it a terse knock. He didn't, however, wait for a reply before he tested the knob, it gave, and he pushed it open.

"Nurse! I told ya' somebody would come!" Mislina's kinky, red and bouncy hair bobbed like an sail on rough waters. Her skin was an dark chocolate brown, with golden freckles scattered across her face. Big, but almond sized eyes and an slightly bulbous nose comforted her figure. She peeled off moss that was growing slowly on her hands, the nurse kindly taking out an handkerchief to wipe off the wetness on her palms.

"Good day, sir. My name is Mislina, but you can call me Little Miss. I will be your doctor today... well among others." Mislina sipped at an beige mug. "What is your name, sir?"

"And since we are at it, I invite you to the waiting hall. You are an man of quite good stature, although we can see you are in more pain that I can imagine can be handled at an time." Avdok pursed his thin lips into an sort of frown. "I can assume magic is not much of an luxury, but I do not quite know." An Russian accent of sorts spills out. "But don't be too scared, come in!"

For a moment, James felt overwhelmed at the surprisingly warm greetings. He had been expecting something more cold and clinical, so the casual friendliness caught him off guard.

He nodded, distracted by the pain shooting up his leg as the two doctors talked to him one after another. Hesitantly, he stepped further in, trying to focus on the information he was given and what was asked of him amid the painful throbbing.

"James," he offered faintly in response to the doctor, Little Miss. "I... can wait, yes. Which way is the waiting hall?"

"This is the waiting hall. But we have two wings. Well, two sort of little tiny wings. It is cute like that." Advok said. "Little Miss and her late mother used to run this place long time ago. Well, before her mother had to go into war and died. She was quite an courageous figure and she taught me Spanish, French, and Chinese before she passed on. Some say this entire hospital is built straight after an sliver cathedral." Advok nervously chuckled. "That is an bit of history, and I know quite an lot about it."

Little Miss smiled. "And the wings are on both sides. The patients we have taken in right now are asleep and immobilized for an while until they can go home or be able to get further help. As you may know, magic is an huge part in our vision. From my first impressions, you will not need such services, but its all up to the people around here who goes under and who doesn't."

"But by no means do we have surgical units. We'll explain to you the rights and all later. But for now, all we need to do is care for you while you are still awake and everything is up in the air."

Little Miss shuddered when Advok told James about the possibility of him being put to sleep. By no means was he an sickly fellow, but once one was admitted to the house, magic had to be used to keep the injured or sick in an state of temporary unconsciousness. Hopefully, James would be fine enough to go home on his own without him needing such services. Mislina prayed. Please allow our friend to be able to come back home with all sense of their awareness. I feel like its best for him to stay alert.

Mislina didn't know what she would of done if she had to do that to James, too. Too many risks, but an necessary one at that.

After being told that this was the waiting hall, James took the nearest seat possible. He sat down heavily on the closest chair, watching the two doctors with a growing sense of apprehension.

He'd been mildly aware that magic was part of their practice, but what he hadn't known was that some patients were put to sleep.

"Being put to sleep," James said slowly. "That's... I would have to consent to that."

He assumed it was a given, but there was a hint of doubt. Or rather, worry.

"I don't think that'll be necessary," he added. "I just need something to fight an infection."

Hopefully, this could be solved with medication.

Diego had to stop doing this.

He winced as he woke up, the roots of a tree digging into his back and causing himself to grunt in pain. His clothes were rags at this point, a side effect of him shifting into his jaguar form. Groaning as he sat up, he looked around and squinted at the sunlight that filtered through the trees, causing his cat-like yellow eyes to glow brighter than before. His jaguar spots were fading, just barely there from his previous transformation.

The last thing he remembered were his friends, being at school, going out for boba... then a surge of pain. That was it.

"Crap." He groaned out, and slumped down again, ignoring the roots digging in his back. He probably deserved it anyway for losing control of his jaguar and running loose. Now he was lost, with only a small building in the distance.

He stood up, dusting off his ruined raggedy clothes before walking carefully through the forest... he could've just transformed again, but he felt like if he did, he wouldn't be able to change back, and that scared him. Arriving at the building, he opened the door, peeking inside to see a man sitting in a chair, a horrible wound on his leg... um, yikes. Opening the door further, he walked in, and spoke to the lady at the there, tilting his head curiously. "That guy kind of needs help," he said, stupidly obvious but feeling to awkward to say much else.

He rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed. "Well, so do I. I haven't a clue where I am..."
