WeepingWisteria wrote:News of the robbery hadn’t spread across town, so as Nathaniel strolled from shop to shop, he had no idea that his tavern was under siege or his daughter was in danger. His wife was two towns over, so it would just be the two of them for the week, but he didn’t mind. Anyone who knew Nathaniel knew he was incredibly domestic.

Currently, he was winding his way through an open-air market, prodding the occasional produce and chattering with whoever stood behind the stall. Luke could handle themself, after all. He trusted her.

Sticky watched as the goon finally spotted Nathaniel, Luke's father. The goon approached him casually - and even smiled as he waved the man over.

"Are you Nathaniel?" he asked.

Sticky, meanwhile, hid behind one of the market stands, poking her head out.

Luke sighed and turned to the bandits. “Do you all want some, or…?”

Nathaniel nodded. It wasn’t odd for people to approach him like this. He did own the only tavern within a decent radius, after all. “I am, I am. How can I help you on this fine day?”

“I was actually sent by Luke to find you,” the bandit said. “Some trouble came up at the tavern and they asked for you.”

One of the things I love about YWS is the quote generator. For example, I'm reading a really serious work, and then I see "Moo. - cow" at the bottom of the page.
