idk it's a weird idea

hi, so i wrote this
what do you guys think?
could we come up with some snazzy good luck thing, or salute thing bc i mean, we are a society :D
idk, but here's a thought dump if you guys have any ideas?
and then we could make a poll!

**i guess i had this idea that when someone announced a goal or something it's something you could say, because i don't know about you but 'good luck' just feels kind of lame and it doesn't reflect your genuine meaning in it when you're trying to tell someone you support them and hope their near future goes well

"break a pencil"

The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

I further support break a pencil, but I also propose

“Write long and revise”

I often go with "Long Live Big Brother" for this sort of YWS-specific good luck greeting.

I know many reviewers back in the day used to close off a review saying "never stop writing" and I always thought that was a pretty sweet salutation too!
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return
