Intellectuals
Breaking new grounds
Charting new territories
Sailing open waters
Testing set limits
Boundaries set in stone broken
A new and uncharted territory
Filled with unique ideas and beliefs
Out with the old and in with the new
Brand new ideas and beliefs
Springing forth from intelligent and imaginative mouths
Human nature looked at in different and more believable terms
Ideas that leave others confused and reeling often give way into great chasms of thought that often enough give way to new revolutions in thinking
What once was true can now be proved false
What once was false can now be proved true
Self-expression taken to new heights
Pressing all the more against conformity
Outcasts seen in a different light
Thought-provoking arguments give way to new limits
Limits that will and always and forever be tried and broken
Testing the very foundation of human thought
A new religion
Children of Philosophy
Children that seek to understand the great world and all enveloped in it
Identity is controlled not by others but by the very depths of your own soul
Be all that you can be
There will always be those who challenge the ‘norm’ and the old ways of thinking
Those who scorn the Children of Conformity in their acceptance
Those who seek to listen to beliefs of others
Those who don’t except easily
Those with more ideas than the number of stars in the sky
Those who light the future
Those who seek to listen
But are not often heard
Those who seek meaning and truth
The Children of Philosophy
Seeking to be truly heard

the poem that you have here seems much more like a list. you tell the reader what children of philosophy are, but you say it over and over again in about 30 ways. the ways you present them in are said differently and given imagery or clever phrases, but it's nothing more than that.

what i think you have here is a start. try to trim out the repeats and organize this in a way so that it doesn't just say what you mean, but causes the reader to think about what you mean.

hope this helps.

Hey Harpz! Thanks again for the loan of your awesome title, LOL :) Here is the crit I promised!

OK, firstly -- yeah, I agree with emotion_less; this is pretty much just a list of attributes or whatever. If I were you, I'd restructure this and try some variation with your sentence structure. And a little punctuation wouldnt hurt. Think of full-stops and commas as the guide markers for a reader; read it out loud and use them to tell us when to pause, when to take a breath, etc. You'll find the flow of the poem much easier, I think.

Since the structure has already been covered, I'm going to talk about wording now. Here particularly, your vocabulary is very prosaic - i.e. dull, LOL. No offense, but it reads like an essay broken up into chunks. Try something poetic - a metaphor or simile. Or even just a few adjectives. It really needs spicing up a bit.

I'd also think about breaking this down into different stanzas, and using each stanza to explore a different idea about this topic. You could use different images to show us what you're talking about, so far as the children of philosophy are concerned. Dont juts make blanket statements like this: be specific! Dont tell me that self-expression was "taken to new heights" -- show me how it soared! And perhaps trim down the repetition a bit too.

You start your lines off the same too much. Also, shouldnt "except" be "accept"? Or do you mean to say that they dont make exceptions (i.e. exclude) easily? Clarify that :)

Overall, you have a nice idea, but the poem is far too drawn out to do it justice and your structure needs some serious revamping, including restructuring and some more poetry (in the form of imagery and imagination). There is, I think, no colour to it thus far; that is my main complaint. You need to dig deeper.
