the ghouls all came from their humble abodes

From my laboratory in the castle east
to the master bedroom where the vampires feast.
The ghouls all came from their humble abodes
to get a jolt from my electrodes.

they did the monster mash

1/7 ; on slasher films and how they changed my romantic life

i want you to tell me that everything is okay, tell me that you have the bodies hidden under the floorboards, take the knife from out of my hands and place them into yours and say that we have finally found the point of no return, no "i think one day i'm going to die alone in your basement, what a shame." i've told you so many times that there are so many grotesque things i think about when i am trapped in my own skeleton. this is the one i am most proud of. this has to be the best part.

2/7 ; what that weird theatre kid tells you around halloween

i think about the entirety of the rapture.
i think about that blue-green movie and how fun it was
to pretend that i am better than you and you and you
while still remaining my abominable self.
i think about the time i told you i wanted to be
a vampire, despite the movie being about spooky clowns
(which i find to be very funny because it's like we're
watching a documentary about ourselves).

please sit in the notches
i have carved for you and let your body
fill them out. i have an offering, and you are the sea.
there are moments of light and love
amongst all the darkness and all that is left now is
figuring out which one you'd rather be.

These are some interesting lines! Caught my eye c:

Very intense poetic voice in all of these, and using movies/film as a motif is super interesting! I feel like that gives it a faster, movie-like pace as well.
