So I'm going to be participating in this in a very unofficial way this year by finishing the LMS that I started last year and have been sitting on. I've already written 10k words, and these characters have been with me for a long enough time that I believe their story deserves to be told. Besides, I'm thinking it will be a novella anyway. I want to work on it a little every day, and finish a draft by the end of November, and I'm hoping posting here will hold me accountable!

The concept: Sixteen year old Rosalie Hastings lives with her mother and older brother in 1950s Chicago. Years earlier, her beloved father died, and the family has been reeling ever since. As Christmas approaches, Rosalie begins to look towards her future, and her dream of becoming a writer.
