I press [ON].
The screen flashes to life,
a window to delusions
of reality.

I turn up the volume,
letting emptiness flow
through my veins,
entranced by dizzying visions.

Getting high
off of infinite images
pulsating through
the 27-inch portal,
infecting the cells
of my very soul.

Melodrama,animation,
explosions, extreme makeovers,
shark attacks, sitcoms, commercials
My God it's all...too...MUCH!

Click. [OFF].
Ah, much better.

grand poem with the universal message uniquely put.

i think this line "through my veins,
entranced by dizzying visions. "is a bit too long and interferes with the flow.

and the 'off' should be better in the next line in "Getting high
off of infinite images "

really nice way of ending and stating the poem.

Hobbes : What mood is that?
Calvin : Last-minute panic.

Hehehe... okay. I think this poem would be better without the opinion inserted. For example, these two lines:

a window to delusions
of reality.

I would cut them out because they really don't do anything but bias us, the readers, as to what we can expect from you. I like it better when I can form my own opinion about your opinion of the poem. ;)

The same goes for this line:

My God it's all...too...MUCH!

I like the lines before that because they make us confront a dizzying list of all that is on TV (though you forgot infomercials, lol) and we get the point already -- you don't have to force it on us again. :)

But the other lines are fun. This is definitely a fun poem! :D

pretty cool, nice message but a bit messy in places e.g off of which should probably just be 'off'. I did like it though.
I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream,
Suspended clear in the sky are the words that we sing in our dreams,
Let there be love.
