Main character priority

4 characters, two plots, and no matter what i hate how i paced it. I'm struggled with several plot points like

and the characters believing the new teacher is kinda weird...

it's been awhile too but most of the plots i've done were just one continuous plot. this time around, i wanted to get my hands on doing two plots it seems....
