Welcome, a new journalist to this website. That sounds like an exciting thing to do, and there are many opportunities for you out in the world, and in the digital world of YWS. You can share/post your stories if you go on the black bar on top and click on "Publishing Center". From there it will lead you through that process, which is simple and straigh-forward.
I also wanted to point out for you that if you click on the "shorts" tab up on the top,there you have many and different categories/genres that you can choose from to read(which ever one that you are interested in). It's pretty cool because it organizes genre and topics and so I would recommend reading a story of two from your fellow writers, who also are developing their talent.
