Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah, my name is Andrew. If you couldn't tell already hahaha. And I like to think I'm pretty awesome. I mean I do have this stalker. Don't get me wrong, this person is seriously drop dead gorgeous. Like, their charm alone could convince a walrus that they were a taco. Seriously. But they never leave me alone every morning there they are, copying every move I make in the mirror. I want to say something but, I mean.. I don't want to be a douche. And what's so bad about having someone standing in your mirror to remind you of just how amazing you are right? Guess it works, and if this attractive mess of deliciousness is copying me then I must be pretty awesome.
But seriously now, if you couldn't catch the majority of my personality from that then go back and read it haha.
Also, a little about me, I am 22 years old and I'm a free verse poet. I like to write my pieces like someone would speak it. I want them free, (get it), of any structured norm so that they can be read without having to run through for structural integrity you know? I want them to eventually be spoken in every part of the world.
That at least, is the dream hahaha. I've always felt more at home voicing my poetry rather than having them looked over. Background on that, I have won seven poetry slam competitions in California, Arizona, and Texas. And I volunteer as a teachers assistant with my old English teacher when she begins studying literature and poetic language. I have studied poetry, psychology, sociology, literature, poetic verse, and art to include dance and acting. (6 year thespian and counting haha). And absolutely love anything having to do with Canterbury Tales. But that's about all the experience I have.
Furthermore, background on me lol. I'm Aries, which is like a nice way of saying I'm extremely passionate about everything but get distracted more easily than 2 year olds and shiny things. Or 13 year olds... actually anyone really right?
But it does mean I take every chance thrown my way. If it's out there, I've probably done it. From bull riding to teaching people how to dance ballet, I've even been in a free fall haha. Which was awesome. Anyways, this place looks fun.
