Amnesia: The Dark Descent Fanfiction Project?

So I was thinking of starting a new project based on the game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
I already have a main character, but I want to create even more characters with more drama.

I don't know if it's a good idea to do so... Need advice.

If you want to write it, go for it. At the very least, you'll learn a lot about writing from it. At the best, you'll also get an awesome fanfic out of it.

I'm really curious what angle you're approaching your fic from, though. The Dark Descent was pretty self-contained, and even A Machine for Pigs is only indirectly related to the events of the first game. Would you be going in a similar direction?

I'm also curious how you'd tackle building an atmosphere of horror in your fic. The atmosphere is what really makes those games so memorable and haunting, and so atmosphere is something you should definitely consider putting extra effort into figuring out.
