Tenth time veteran here. I don't need a reason to do it anymore, I need a reason to not do it, and so far none has been sufficient to kerb my addiction.
I did it. It was soooooo rough. I don't know if I'll ever do it again. But I encourage everyone to try it once! It was only rough because I was still in high school when I did it, and I had a lot of homework.

Hey Phoebe, the goal of Nanowrimo is to write 50,000 words of a new novel in November, but you're welcome to adapt it to meet your own writing needs. Some people do less words, or continue with a project they already have, or write short stories etc... I like it because it gives me motivation to get things done, and it's easy to get caught up the craziness of it, especially if you belong to the facebook group.
