To be honest ... I don't remember. But I think it was the abridged version of The wind in the willows. I used to issue that one book every time we went to the library, and I remember thinking: 'I want to write like this someday, so someday, some little girl will read my book with as much joy as I read this one'
I was a very optimistic child. XD
My first proper--I mean coherent--story was about a man who dies in the end. Intrigue and betrayal and badly written mystery. Not something you'd read to your children, eh?
I don't know what originally inspired me to write but Legend (trilogy) by Marie Lu definitely gave me some inspiration to write the book(s) I'm currently working on. She's an amazing writer/author.

I don't honestly know if there was a book that really inspired me to write. Well, when I was around 8 or 9 I would read stories from Grimm Fairy-tales to my siblings, and one day they asked me to make up one of my own. I uhh, sorta took two fairy tales and mixed them up, and then told them that. I guess my first story sorta came out of that.
Unless you can say Grimm inspired me, I can't really remember a certain book that initially inspired me to write. LOTR and the Hunger Games series inspires me everyday though!

To be honest, I don't think it was a book that started my writing. I believe it may have been my sisters' writing that began with me... three years ago. Hadn't written a word of fiction before that. I found writing is like opening a different dimension of time and people and the world. So much fun. <3
