I thought it would be fun to have a place where YWSers can share their favorite recipes!
I'll start it out with my favorite brownie recipe:
4H Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch pan on stove. (I actually just do it in the oven.) Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, then eggs. Sift and add flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Mix in vanilla. Add nuts, if desired. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
Personally, I suggest using Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa powder. It makes them reeeealy chocolatey.
Have at it!
