Total newbie

Hi! My name is Shy, and I've just recently created an account on here. I'm kind of bad at introductions but hopefully that's okay. I'm a fan of reading, and writing. Of course. I've always kind of been a bit hesitant when it came to joining different communities and support groups, so this will be my first time doing something like this. I'm hoping to really get some good feedback- and give feedback as well. With that said, it's a pleasure to meet you all, and I hope to make some awesome friends on here <3

P.S. I'm, as you can probably already tell, really new to blogging...so I wouldn't mind some tips on how the whole "blogging" thing works.

Blogging, you say? You can blog about anything and everything you want -- just make sure you don't give out any personal information or something that could get you in trouble. Like, say, confessing to murder. >_>

But if you need to rant or gush or fangirl, that's your place! You can shout and scream and curse all you want in there. Just keep in mind that you should only post a literary work in there if you aren't looking for any reviews. Most people won't bother to review it if it's not published via the publishing center.

Most of the time I write within the Fantasy genre- although I do try to experiment with other genres. What about you? :3

Posting your work up for feedback is one of the bravest and scariest things you can do, and if this is your first time then you've definitely come to the right place. YWS is different to most sites because it's primarily a nurturing environment. We aim to teach and encourage, so it doesn't matter if you're good or bad at writing, or whether you've done it for two days or twenty years, we're all in the same boat.

From that introduction I think you're going to fit in really well here =D
