best poetry-contest! ENDS ON 17 JUNE!

Hey people as I and my friends have our holidays going we thought to host a contest here at YWS. Well the competition is simple. You will have to choose a theme from below and you have to write a poem on it and submit the link below. There are five themes which are decided and they are:

*love

*comedy

*parody of anything

*absurdity

*Light

You can write on any one of these and submit. You can also submit a link to other people's work you have already written a poem on any of these themes but remember before the deadline. The deadline is 27 june and on 28 june we will declare the winner
Prices:
We have decided that in total there will be 4 prices in total:

First price : 7 reviews plus a gift

Second price : 5 reviews plus a gift

Third price : 3 reviews plus a gift

and a special appreciation price : 2 reviews
Isn't that tempting, of course it is.

Remember the deadline is : 27 JUNE

Now coming to the judges. This contest will be hosted by four judges in all and one of them is me . Well the other three are a secret and their secret Identities will be revealed on seventeenth of June itself. That's the suspense part here...

The judges will judge each one of the poetry by rating it from 1 to 10. Each judge will do the individual rating and then the total points given will be calculated so specifically your poem will score points from 40 points. The prize winners will be told the total no. of points that they gained in the end.

Extra points will be given if:

* The poem goes in a flow
* It has a good rhythmic structure
* There are no punctuation mistakes or grammatical errors
* there is a story or a meaning in the poem

Moonlight Sun

This day

white lilies sing out sugar sweet

and roses set the air on fire,

while the embers

go dancing with the rain.

Our featherlight footsteps

now sink

to the bottom of the ocean

where the snow is falling

from sea-foam clouds.

The dunes of sand to sliver mountains

and ink to rust,

on faded pages;

staining the world evermore

with paint

and beautiful chaos.
