Calling all artists: YWS Needs Badges!

Maybe this could work just and idea it can be rejected if you want.

Urm, I had a couple ideas here . . .

Here's just a base something. It would probably work well for the 'Junior Writer' badge.
(Note: I have a quick template of it without the words so I could make an 'intermediate' and a 'senior' writers badge if ya'll think this one would work).

A quick bit of pasting, drawing, and changing colors with Gimp2 got me this <>

Badge Ideas that Came to My Mind While Looking at My Empty Trophy Case (T.T):

1 Year Anniversary
5 Year Anniversary
10 Year Anniversary

Badges for Milestones ^^ You'd get them by being active at least 1 year, 5 years, and 10 years after your initial account creation.

I like that idea Ego.

I went ahead and did mockups for each one since color changing in photoshop is quite easy, but overall it turned out a little less exciting than I thought it would. . From left to right, novice greeter, intermmediate, and expert. I wanted to do ribbon colors (bronze, silver, gold) but bronze was less exciting than I anticipated. The light blue hand represents the old greeter color.


The storybook ones were fun (and frustrating). Since they'll be displayed rather small, I don't think it makes much sense to have wording on them, but I went ahead anyway.

Originally, I wanted expert to be black, but I think red looks more important. Thoughts?

I talked that I will give the vector files for my current badges (i changed the ribbon gradient respectively too), as you see, there are three icons only in my design (sb, writer, reviewer) I vote for the heart-hand symbol as being the one for the 'greeter'. This is a really nice concept but if @Juniper could play with gradients and change it something like my gradients (gold, silver, bronze) then it will be nice.
