Okay.

Us writers, read a book, and we see errors, or things that would sound better right?

Know why?

Because we're writers.

And, people who read the books, probably have only written a very short story, and don't see anything wrong with it.

That's how, authors get away with things that don't make sense to us writers, but to 'normal non-writing' people.

I figured it out! :smt026

Author is just the stage that comes after writer . . .
For I who am poor have only my dreams
I spread my dreams under your feet . . .

. . . tread softly for you tread on my dreams.

Ohmygosh I get it now!

So... when we spend years and years studying grammar, really the only people who are going to notice are the other people who spent years and years studying grammar...

Dude. Think of all the hours I could have spent on video streaming and webcomics instead.
We were born to be amazing.

So, same thing with published books, we notice it, while they don't.

Wow that makes so much sense.
I think I would feel more satisfied if I write and the people who aren't crazy about it as well can also see if I (rarely) add some genius. Now when they compliment me I will know their secret- they actually have no idea what I just wrote.
