Tiz is in!

Hey there members of YWS, you're new member Tiz has finally taken the time to write an introduction for himself. So here it goes.

I'm a very shy fourteen year old. I am growing up with zero brothers and sisters, which I don't really like even though some say they aren't the greatest. My parents are split and I have to shuttled there and back every other week. This will turn into a drag once I get my car and I have to pay for gas money.

Now to my writing favorites/skills/ ect.

I am very much into science fiction and fantasy. I have always written short stories that involve the world ending or some type of beast that wants to be my pet (Or eat my head off). I'm not positive on why they intrigue me so much but, I believe it's because I can look into what other worlds look like.
I hate non-fiction, romance, dramas, teen-life fictions, anything involving 'Real-life' fiction for that matter. They bore me and i can barely get through the first page of any book of them.

Some of my favorite book series and authors include (In no order): James Patterson (and his series Maximum Ride and Witch and Wizard ), Erin Hunter (The series from them are: The Warriors series, The bear series (Forgot what its called )), Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments series), John Flanagan (The Rangers Apprentice, The Brotherband Chronicles) and my one adult author favorite Dan brown because of his Da Vinci Code series.

I don't really know if I have any 'specialty' in writing I think i'm pretty average all around but, I LOVE TO WRITE. So I would really like to hear your guys' feed back to my work.

Lastly, I have two W.I.P. One I started last year, well two years ago now, and I am starting to lose my interest in it. My other one is very much fantasy and I started it a while ago but, I love it. Hope you guys will too.

PS: Am I able to post partly finished work here? Or does it have to be complete?

Hi Tiz and welcome to YWS! The work doesn't need to be complete to post it here. For a novel, I'd post in smaller chunks so the reviewer can digest it better. You can then put all of the chapters you post in a separate folder so they can be found easily. You make folders by going to Settings (the gear tab)-->Profile-->Edit portfolio.

Before posting, though, I highly recommend you check out other pieces and review them. This will get you points to post your own, plus you gain experience in critiquing work and people will be more likely to review yours.

It's nice to hear about you! I haven't read any of the authors you mentioned (except Dan Brown), probably because I'm not that much into scifi/fantasy myself. But we have sufficient forums for both the genres, so you'll surely be able to find a place to post yours

Anyways, nice to meetcha, too! I'm also a loner in the family, but isn't that great! We can imagine we have imaginary friends and all that! That would also give a lot of time for reading.

I really like reading Sci-Fi, too. In fact we share some followed authors! I've been a long reader of the few novels of Dan Brown. James Patterson? When you get a bit more older, try the Women's Murder Club! This Patterson series rocks! I've read W & W, too though. I really like how Patterson shaped those two teens in action! Cassandra Clare, too! Ah, I miss the times when I wanted to collect every novels of her which title starts with 'City of...'. I've only read one, though, City of Ashes

Specialty in writing? Aw c'mon, everyone has it! You're special, I'm special, we're all special. Maybe it's just because you haven't found your voice yet. One day sooner I wish you will!

P.S. Posting's totally up to you. Novels, though, I suggest that you chop up at least into smaller chunks. With that people can already comment on your style on the first chapter, then you can have all the time for yourself editing the second one, too!

Thanks Alf Did you know the first book in 'The City' series (The City of Bones) is going to be turned into a movie? I know they are casting for it right now.

I don't have a specialty yet (Besides maybe describing details with environment). This might be because I haven't really written much yet; just a few short stories here and there.

How dare you hate romance? I feed on that like a leech!
Just kidding. Those were part of my darker days when I wrote slushy teen novels about prince charmings. :C

Oh, I simply adore Cassandra Clare, she's got a beautiful brain and I dislike the fact that they're making a movie of the Mortal Instruments series.
