I've been writing on and off for several years in my spare time, but as a result of a class I took last year, I've found that I really enjoy writing. I write whenever I can now, though it is a bit difficult to fit it in with my relatively busy life and all of the reading that I do. I'm hoping that by joining this forum I will learn more about writing and improve my current writing skills.
Normally, I write fantasy or sci-fi/dystopian stories. I tend to attempt to write novels, but I haven't been able to complete one yet.
As far as reading, I typically prefer fantasy, mystery/horror, historical fiction, sci-fi, and dystopian fiction. Recently, I've enjoyed books by Veronica Roth, James Patterson, Michael Scott, Rae Carson, and many others that I can't think of right this moment.
