Don't you just love beginnings?

Hey! I'm new, obviously. I think I like this site already. But, I was wondering if someone could explain the point system. I read the FAQ but, I still am cloudy on that subject.

Points are like YWS currency. You use them to play games or to post articles in the randomness or lounge . You earn them by crit other peoples work or posting your own. The max amount of points you can get for any one post is 50.

First of all, welcome to the YWS! I'm Areida, but feel free to call me Ari.

Okay, so: points.

Due to inattention to the literary forums, we have a new system. It costs 10 points to post in the lounge and fifteen in randomness.

But you do gain points for critiques, activity in usergroups, storybooks, etc. So don't be put off by it. I was worried about it at first, but now it's not really a big deal to me at all.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me or another member of Big Brother (the mods and admins). Hope you enjoy the YWS!

I know the feeling. I think the title of my introductory thread was "I hate being a newbie..."

But you'll get into the swing of things here pretty quickly. No one's a newbie here for long and from the fact that you read the FAQ and you're not chat speaking, I think that you'll fit in really well.
