Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I got into this situation—and honestly, I’m still wondering that myself. So let’s just start from the beginning, shall we?
Unlike a lot of main characters out there, I actually had my life together. That was, until the accident…. A secret lab in an abandoned factory… mutation… annoying sidekick… you know, that sort of thing.
Now I’m tangled up in all this universe-saving, butt-kicking stuff… so go on, ask me anything

Hey, whasup? I'm Shikitaro Monatoya, but I don't like that name so pretend that yuh read that as Shiko. I hate being bored so I've tried just about everything to keep myself entertained from randomly walking up to someone and saying their shoes are untied to driving my car into a bridge to find out what happens after you die. (Didn't work, obvi, bcs I'm still here to annoy you if you don't watch out)

Hello there. My name's Kylana, although some people call me Ky (pronounced just like "key").
Let's see... I'm interested in cybersecurity. I'm always down to chat about malware and binary exploitation. My job is rather classified, however, so I'm afraid I can't provide too many specifics in that regard.
Oh, that's right. I'm also from the planet Umaria. I do have some limited knowledge of Earth, though... Here's a comic on SQL injection I found hilarious.

Ask me any questions you have! Although I can't talk too much about my job, I'm a pretty typical Umarian in other respects.

Spearmint LuminescentAnt - Quite an interesting name you have! I have heard of these "ant" creatures, although I don't believe we have them on Umaria. As for what age I started being interested in cybersecurity, well, I'd always been interested in technology. I became intrigued specifically in cybersecurity by an intro to cybersecurity class at university, however.
Lum - Nice to see you again! Yes, I specialized in cybersecurity at university. My university focused on technology, with specializations in robotics, artificial intelligence, hardware, software, and various other fields as well.

keystrings Hi Kylana. My world? I don't know if it really has a name, per se. We all call this place Veed, instead of saying "video" cause ya know, all the young people wanted to go with something different. Tech, huh? There's some yeah, but that's only for the more "posh" people really -- the normal people don't get close to it.

I appreciate it, but nah. It's fine. The weirdest part of this place is that time simply, stands still. If you ever want to hack into it though, I'll always take another friend.

The “posh” people are, well, a little weird. They all live in these fancy apartments that stretch all the way into the sky, practically. Do they even go outside? I have no idea. They probably have some synthetic air in there, who knows.

The time thing is … weird to explain, but we have all had to come up with an understanding that we all agreed on. Not all of us have been here forever. Actually, I doubt if anyone has ever been born here. It was just meant to be a game at the beginning of it all.

Sorry, talking too much again. I do not know if I have talked this much to a stranger or even anyone in months. Once we got here, once I got here at least, time stopped. From what we can tell, it took a while for anyone to notice, but then we realized, life just felt like it was in a loop of sorts.

We really do not know much. We just exist at this point.

keystrings I didn't really think of that, actually. It's true that having more time would let anyone simply do more. I guess we don't even really need to sleep. Cause we are not aging? But I don't know. Things are just a bit odd.
All I know is we had started in a normal place, but maybe a lot longer than I realize, since we haven't actually aged, so we're all not changed. But, it's true that it's been long enough that we don't really know each other's ages, unless it's fairly obvious.
Maybe someone will eventually figure it out.

Hey! My name's Shane Hawking, and I'm a not-quite historian. I mean, I practically am, but there are a few steps I'd have to complete before I really am, so not-quite it is. I have trouble talking about myself unprompted, so... I don't know what else to mention yet, but I hear you can ask me questions? SilverNight Hey Kylana! I do have an interesting fact about my world's history (well, there's many, but this one felt good to share). We've divided our history in three ages/eras, kind of like Earth's B.C/A.D. division of years except without counting backwards in years or having negative years in our calendar. There's the Spark Age, which is the current one and has lasted 2140 years so far, and it started the year our current system of government was established. Before that there was the Hollow Age, which lasted over 4000 years, and that's the one I study the most. Even before that is another time period that historians have actually not reached a consensus on naming, but we know that one ended and the Hollow Age started when magic was introduced to our world. I think it's an interesting way to look at our past! ~Shane

I would think magic being added would create the opposite of a hollow, since from what I've heard, magic introduces a whole new world of possibilities. Kind of like great technological advancements.

SilverNight That's a really great question! Magic did introduce a new world of possibilities, and there were people who set to understanding it right away, but the reason for the Hollow Age's naming was due to the lack of a united government in a divided world, not the new presence of magic. It is a little strange to me that we focused on that part instead of choosing a brighter, more hopeful name like the arrival of magic would suggest.

Mageheart i like doing stuff at my family's farm, like taking care of the dream cows and playing with my sisters when they're there. chainsaw's almost always there, but opal lives out in the forest most of the time. i like reading sandman too because that stuff's ironic, and like going for drives in my car.

i also like spending time with my boyfriend nate and our friends. they're the coolest freaking people in the entire world. except sandy, maybe, but jeff and bella are cool stuff.

RandomTalks I can practically hear Will accusing me of E. In fact, I can probably integrate the words into his dialogue and not cause a glitch in the narration. But its mostly B for most of my other characters, all of whom are much more tolerant and patient.

Oh, hi! I’m Mireya Kaltrina, and I’m a thief or something like that. Maybe a mercenary? A robber who takes requests? Anyway, I steal stuff if you pay me enough, along with my friend Cyrin (his interview’s here), and I’d say we’re pretty good at it. I also commit some anarchy on the side, because the Aphiran government is rotten (my citation: literally all of Aphirah’s history), so my personal and professional life is all… crime, I guess? I’m totally fine with that.

Hold on, did I mention I’m a Major Mage? No? Okay, I can control electricity, and as far as I know I’m the only one who can do that. I used to mostly control lightning, but since computers, electric lights, and other electronics came around, I tamper with those more nowadays. Lightning was always fickle anyways.

…Can I remember a time before electronics then, you ask? Hmm. Well, I’m happy to answer your other questions!

SilverNight I like using electricity for a light show-- you can create some pretty cool effects just by being able to turn regular light bulbs on and off at will. As for the first question, I haven't died yet, so... make of that what you will!

This is featuring my character Rev Craily from Shoplifting Vampires!

Wow.. I wish I had a cigarette right now. I had to quit, you know? It was costing me so much of my money every week, but that wasn't what spurred me to quit. Mainly it was because I visited the off-license multiple times a day for months that they knew me by name and always had my cigs ready for me. How embarrassing, right? I told DC Burke about it in our interview yesterday, but he just laughed.
"You're undead," he said to me "How can you even breath in the smoke?"
Well, that just about told me how much he'd been paying attention to the story. Or, perhaps I wasn't explaining it well. But I'm sure I was. Undead is different to being dead, of course. And vampires, well, we're not like the kind you see on TV or in films. I could breath just as well as he could. Therefore, i could get a nicotine addiction just as well as he could! I don't recommend one, really. It's not really funny for a deadly, blood-sucking vampire to have a smokers cough.
Anyway, my new friends - they don't know the extent of who I am. They know me as Green - pointed me in the direction of this site because apparently there's some sort of Q and A going on. And apparently vampires are seen as cool to most humans so I thought I'd see if it was worth it.
