  • Ahhh I could spend all night on this tag but still gonna give it a shot -- #ThankaReviewer #SocialMonth

@IcyFlame -- you are incredible my friend <3 I've lost count of how many iterations of BtD you've stuck with me through, sorting through the absolute hot mess that is Jerica and me as we get our things sorted out. I appreciate you a lot <3 <3 <3

@Otterpop -- you bring such helpful insight as well! I know you jumped in recently, but the fresh perspective has been helpful to see if my characterization stands up to new readers and you've helped me realize several areas I need to work on and I appreciate that <3

@Omni -- i feel like ur response to whatever i say is gonna be 'nou' so i'mma give u a NOU first ;) but also wanna give you a big shout-out! Your recent binge helped me realize significant problems and I appreciate all the help <333

@yosh, @soundofmind, @dragonight9 -- thanks for jumping into the newest draft! You've really helped spark my interest in picking this project back up and given me the energy to do the work to revise it. It feels good to be back with my girl and you all contributed to it feeling nice, when I'd been struggling with writer's block for so long before this :')

And... uhhhh... I know I'm missing people but it's late and my brain just decided to stop working. So @ everyone else who has reviewed for me -- THANK YOU <3333

  • Here to #ThankaReviewer for #SocialMonth ! I just wanted to stop by and thank you for all the reviews you've left on my poetry—I treasure your interpretations and feedback to the max. Poetry is generally something I never think about revising because I regard it more as a writing exercise, but your thoughts on poetry really make me want to go back and rewrite my poems. You point out all the wonderful things and how to make them even more wonderful. So thank you!!

We hope you've had a wonderful Social Month this year!

For one of our final events, we want to say a big thank you to those that do some amazing work on YWS. Have you ever received a review that made you go ooh with a new idea, or that brought some super-helpful tips or a fresh perspective? Is there a reviewer who's been keeping up with all your chapters that you want to shout a million thank-yous to? Well, today you're encouraged to do exactly that! (Okay, perhaps not exactly-- a million is a lot-- but you get the idea)

Your challenge is to write a thank-you note to a reviewer you appreciate!

That reviewer can be someone who's reviewed one of your works, or someone you've seen around the site that you'd like to thank! You can even try writing a thank-you note from the point of view of one of your characters! It's up to you how you'd like to write your thank-you note(s), but be sure to give yws's amazing reviewers all the respect and appreciation they deserve! :D

Heya! I'm here to #ThankaReviewer in the spirit of #SocialMonth ! I really appreciated the review you left on my work 'Green Door'. Though I haven't quite gotten around to revising that short story just yet, your ideas about making the style more surrealistic and also about adding more action/ things happening in the clock world have made me think! Thanks for reviewing :D

Hey there! I'm here to #ThankaReviewer for #SocialMonth ! Thanks so much for reviewing my poem 'Gas Stove'. Your comments inspired me to revise it and make it more substantial in terms of adding context and a narrative to the image of a gas stove. It was quite an interesting experience, and it's thanks to your help :D

Have you recently read an amazing work that you genuinely enjoyed but could not find the time to review? Was there something you really liked about a work and wanted to remark on, but did not want to get into the intricacies of writing a review? Our next activity provides just the solution for this: Leave a Comment!

To participate, just comment on literary works of your choice, expressing your general thoughts about them.

Literary comments are those comments that are not marked as a review. Literary comments are a quick and convenient alternative to reviews, especially when you are short on time and don't really want to get into the hassle of writing a long and detailed review. However, please make sure that your comments are specific to the work and contain substantial input, for their main purpose is to encourage our writers and appreciate them.

For example, if you like a particular work, then don't just leave a comment saying "Nice work!" Instead, elaborate on why you liked it or what elements stood out for you or what can be improved, etc.

You can also add the links of your comments to the Social Month Badge thread under reply/comment to earn the Social Butterfly Badge!

Have fun and happy #socialmonth everybody! :)
