    Sadism and Mush: A certain combination of emotions presented in a scene that somehow get it both incredibly sadistic and unbelievably mushy. Usually happens when friends/love interests/partners of the viewpoint character are tortured in front of them before being rescued, which can cause many mush-related Tropes. Can also happen when the viewpoint character is being tortured only to be rescued by their friends/love interest/partner.
