    Mind-eating Research Bunny: A Plot idea that sends you running for the library/search engines and causes you to spend hours researching the ramifications of writing such an idea (whether you actually end up writing the thing or not).

    These things have caused me to research Gargoyles, split personality disorders, and the bermuda triangle, among other things. Plus, more recently, the Pony Express and teleportation experiments. I also researched execution a la decapitation, but that was for my actual WIP. XD
