What makes you a Christian?
Do you go to church?
Do you read your bible?
Do you even know what God stands for?
and more importantly...
What is your purpose in life?
Answer honestly!
I just want to see if we are all on the same page when we say that we are "Christians", here.
*This discussions is exclusivity for those who claim to share the faith and believe in Jesus Christ. Just so we can avoid offense, debates, or long-winded discussions.
Thanks!
Are you really a Christian?

1) I do go to Church
2)I read my Bible (Not as much as I need to)
3)I can't pretend to know everything God stands for. But I do know a lot of stuff.
4)My purpose in life, in all honesty: to be all that I can be. To do what it is that I was created for, if God intended my parents to marry and arranged them for one another then I am around by no accident and I am intended by God to fulfill a calling. I intend to fulfill that calling to the highest possible standard. I just have issues right now. Quite a few big issues
Here's my statement of faith:
I believe in One God who created the universe and everything in it.
I believe that God became flesh, in Jesus Christ. So He is One with God.
I believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. In saying this, I believe Mary was a virgin when she 'gave birth'.
I believe Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, that we may be forgiven. And that He was bodily raised to life on the third day.
I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God, and fully Man. God in human form.
I believe we have 'eternal life' by accepting God's plan of Salvation which is accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour through faith in Christ and repentance.
I believe that humans are evil (through our first parents)because of the inherited the sinful nature and makes us objects of God's wrath unless atoned for by the Blood of the Lamb (Jesus)
I believe in being 'baptized' by full-immersion after receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I do not believe that water baptism saves a person. Salvation is a free gift by accepting Jesus.
I believe in the work of the Holy Spirit through ordinary people, and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are relevant for today.
I believe that the Holy Spirit is recieved through salvation and acompanies a person to conform them into the image of Christ. Renewing us day by day.
I believe that the word of God (the Bible) is the only authority, and is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the only truth that we must live by. I do not believe or accept any other teachings and beliefs, there is only 'One Truth'.
I believe that Jesus Christ will come back again to gather up His Church.
I believe there is a real 'Heaven' and a real 'Hell'. And where we spend our eternity is determined by which one we choose while we're alive. There are no second chances after 'Death'.
I believe that we will stand before God on Judgement day to give account of our lives and how we lived it. The righteous to the Judgement seat of Christ and the unrighteous to the Great White Throne. Everyone who is not found in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire where they will spend eternity
And I know I have a lot to say on this site, but genuinely, I need so much grace. I'll admit, I swear a lot, shout and argue with my siblins. And I have other sins. But by the grace if God I'll overcome -
What makes me a Christian is my desire to follow Jesus, since I accepted Him as my only Saviour.
Having a Relationship with Him.
I do read the Bible, I believe that is very important in order for us to follow the right route. "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." ~Psalm 119:105
Being Christian should NOT be a stereotype. Therefor, I do not find it necessary to go to church to find God. I believe God is omnipresent, and I believe He teaches us in many different ways. (I haven't got the best experiences in church, actually. I believe that people should be light inside churches, but also outside. Otherwise, that's not following Jesus, I call it being a Hypocrite.)
My purpose in life is helping people. Any way I can, as Jesus would've done. That, I truly enjoy. I talk about Jesus to everyone I know, because it's simply part of me already. Despite my lack of knowledge (which we all have), my life spins around Jesus.
Once I had a youth pastor that told us: "Imagine you're a cup. If all you do is baseball, what will your cup be fill with? BASEBALL! So what are you going to talk about? BASEBALL! But God wants our cup to filled with Him instead." Although, I strongly believe the only way of teaching is doing it with love, seriously. (I mean, as good as chocolate is, and as hungry as you may be, I don't think many people would like to eat it if you force them to).
I want to be a missionary. If God wants me to, that is my purpose in life. And if I have to be a martyr, I will be.
Isn't God the best reason to die?<3
