Prayer Requests

55 posts in this topic.

  1. Okay, well, the title kind of says it all here. If there's anything you're needing prayer for, this is where to ask. Absolutely anything. It can be as trivial or as serious as the situation at hand is.

    Thanks for your prayers.

  2. This is me, starting off the chain.

My friend Lucy is one of those people who woldn't think twice about God's existence once she heard the message. The trouble is getting her into church. Because my church is a few miles away from her home, and she's still sixteen (you have to be seventeen to drive in England), she hasn't been able to come except for once, a Youth group meeting, which was less focused on God than usual. She was going to come to the Christmas celebration yesterday, but it snowed, and her parents were uncomfortable driving her all that way on icy roads. So, I'd really love if you could pray for her to be able to come and be saved. That would be really amazing.

My best friend's dad has torn a main ligament in his back. He had to spend last night in hospital, and nobody's really sure what's going on. My friend is going absolutey mental and is so upset about it. The other night, God was telling me to text her a Bible verse while I prayed, and that was great, because I knew it would help her, but I was so confused... "Which one?" I ended up with one in Isaiah, which made her feel a bit better, but I'm really concerned for her - and, of course, her dad. I'm still waiting for news. So if you could be praying for Ian, it would be so appreciated.

And, finally, this place. If everyone could be praying that it will be a real blessing to everyone who comes along. If this works, it should really help people with their lives in God. So any prayer would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  3. Will pray for above. :)

If anyone could find room in their prayers for my youth pastor, that would be fantastic. He is the most wonderful, God-sent man I've ever met, and his family's going through hell at the moment. His cousin's done some complicated damage to his leg, involving blod clots and major operations, and has been on crutches for weeks. His aunt and uncle have recently been diagnosed with cancer. His two small childeren have been getting virus after virus.
His wife's giving birth soon, which isn't part of the hell as such, but if people could pray for a smooth birth- that'd be nice too!

    God bless.
  4. My friend Naomi, who was the leader of my small group within the youth until she went to do a gap year in Bath a few months ago, has just been rushed into hospital. She had a concussion a couple of weeks ago and has been complaining of headaches and dizziness; and the whole right side of her body is numb. I'm really worried about her, she's the first person after my mum that I count as a role model, and she's done as much for my life with God as the 'official' church leaders put together. Could you please pray for a correct diagnosis and the right treatment to keep her safe. She's a dancer and actress so she needs to be fully mobile. Any prayer would be really appreciated. Thank you.
  5. My teacher's mom lives at a nursing home, and my teacher went on a retreat this past weekend with her church but was called away by a call she got from the nursing home saying that her that they thought they were losing her mother. On Wednesday her mother had made it through her "episode" as my teacher called it on Saturday but the nursing home was still calling her because she was still having problems.
  6. Hm.

I'm thinking of starting a Christian writing forum
with some friends. But I'm not sure if the Lord
wants me to do that. I've never considered myself a leader.

Could you all keep that in mind?
  7. I'll be praying for you both.

I was just about to ask for prayer for a guy who's been in a motorcycle accident, but then I remembered he's a soap opera character. So, yeah. *obsessed with prayer* Which could be considered a good thing...
  8. I'll remember to pray for all of y'all!

So I have to main things I need people to pray for.

    1. A wonderful lady in our church has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I've always been hearing about it from other people, but I've never really cared. Of course I've cared to some degree, but it has never hit me personally. I'm really worried about her. So PLEASE pray.

    2. My best guy friend who is turning 18 soon is seriously considering joining the army. I just have this feeling in my gut that if he joins he'll die, my gut feeling has never let me down before. He also wants to join for the wrong reasons. He wants to join because he's not "smart" and he says there's nothing else left here for him. So please pray that he won't enlist, and if he does enlist, please pray for his safety and that he'll be able to come home to me.
  9. Tori-- I'll definitely keep you in mind! Don't worry. :D

There is one thing I'm worried about, and it's kind of a serious thing. Lately my parents have been arguing constantly--They don't argue in front of me or my siblings, but you can definitely tell, because they're never in the same room for more than thirty seconds, and...it's just obvious. There have been signs that make me suspicious of them getting a divorce, and I'm worried. I'm asking you guys to pray, but only about the best thing possible happening. I'm not under any illusions that them staying together is the best, and I only want that. If it's better for them to go separate ways, then so be it.

    Thanks. :)
  10. Knightley, my best friend's parents went through the same thing a few months ago. They were arguing in front of her and her little brother and sister all the time, and her mum was repeatedly telling her dad, "You've ruined my life." Several months and much prayer later, they're one of the happiest couples I know. I'll be praying for your parents too, and I'm sure they'll work things out for the best.

Tori, of course I'll pray for you as well.
  11. Alright. For those who really hate reading all these, I'll give you four names to pray for. For those who want to actually know what it's about, they can read on.

    Rylie
    Bair
    Haylie
    Aaron

    For Rylie
Rylie is one of my close friends who seems very far from God right now. She says she's a Christian, but in no way does she act like it. Perhaps I'm just overly Christian, or maybe I'm right, that it is her. I just pray for her connection to be reunited with God.

    For Bair
    I would like to lift up a praise for my sister Bair, who recently accepted Christ as a serious part of her life. God is good. :}

    For Haylie
Haylie is my friend who refuses to even consider God. She believes it's out of the question. I just feel like her life is so terrible and disastrous without Him--and I would know. I always thought as long as she had Jesus, everything would be okay. Apparently she doesn't. So please, pray for her.

    For Aaron
A boy who gets constantly picked on. I pray for others to see that their jests hurt him and correct their mistakes.

    Thank you for your prayers, and I have prayed for all of you. The power of prayer is the strongest thing we have. Miracles can happen. :}
  12. I'll be sure and pray for your friends, Quill, and it's awesome news about your sister. :)

Could I have some prayer for my friend Emma, she recently hurt her leg skiing in Italy and she's been in a huge amount of pain. I feel like I'm completely useless - we're not close, and we're only really connected by a tight friendship group. It's not that we don't like each other or anything, we just don't quite click. So it's a little weird for me, and I know it's stupid, but even when she's crying from the pain there's nothing I can do. So, if people could be praying for healing for Emma, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

EDIT: I don't know who's been praying for my friendship with Emma, but thank you. We've actuall become pretty close since I posted this. I still feel useless, and she's still in pain, but things are looking up.
  13. Well, here goes nothing.

For Will: he's autistic and recently moved.
Unfortunately, because of my weird condition,
    I don't remember knowing him.

So could you please pray for both of us?
Me for my memory, and Will for support?
  14. Guys, please be praying for the Facebook Campaign to get History Maker by Delirious? as high as possible in the UK charts over Easter. Thank you.
  15. Please pray for my friend Crystal she told me she did something very bad{I'm not gonna say it because its personal} the only problem is...she's lied to me before so i don't really know if thats what really happened or not...but i just ask that you would pray -not that she would repent of her sins, but that she gets an awesome encounter with God. She also is one to call herself a christain but she doesnt act it out...and she's also looking for a love that she didn't recieve from her father in boys....and i just know she's not gonna find it there. So please if you will, pray that God would just get ahold of her...
    Thanks guys...
