Seeing as we finally got this group up, I want to start a song-writing class. Probably just a small one.
Every week I'll write a short article about something to do with songwriting and post it in this thread. I'll set up a different thread for you guys to ask me questions or give me ideas for future articles.
At the end, I'll run a competition where you each have to write a song using different things that we've talked about.
Is anybody at all interested? Because if you're not, I won't bother doing it.

Yay! People are interested!
Well, I'm way to sick to write anything now, but hopefully I'll have the first article up by next week. Does anybody have any ideas on things I could include/they would like me to include? Because I want to make this as interesting and helpful as possible. If it works, I might do another one later.
By the way, I'm going to five articles, and post one each Saturday starting next week. After the five weeks, I'll run a month-long competition. More details to come soon.
And remember to post/PM me with what you'd like to see! -
Intersted too.

I would have liked to started this last week, but I was too sick to write anything. And I still need more ideas. Right now the ideas I have in mind are an article on Rhythm, Beats, Tunes and why they're good when writing songs (this is something I've noticed lot of people seem to struggle with) and then The Importance of Listening to Professional Music.
What other ideas do you have? I want to have my five topics before I start writing/posting the articles.
Please help me out! I want to know what you guys need help with so I can help you to the best of my abilities. -
hmm...*pulls out planner and flips to important notes**finger dances across the page* ahha! Here it is. I need help with song ideas! Like you can just say something that the song would be based on and you could take it from there! OMG! I am so happy!
Patcha:"Don't worry eerything is going to be all right. I have everything under control"

Melody is what always kills me. Melody is hard.
