So, who is your favourite artist? What's your favourite song? Do the bands and singers you like write their own songs? And of course, how does their music inspire the way you write songs?
Also, what types of music do you listen to/write? Country, Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, etc.

My favorite artist is 2Pac. My favorite song is Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg. 2Pac co-wrote his music with his mother, Afeni Shakur. It inspires me to rap, because, I'm a ghetto person, so I hear good lyrics and a good beat, I want to be as good as that, and to rap off the beat. I love rap. I listen to some rock, too. Like I said in my introduction, I'm a rapper.

I like almost all kinds of music: country, opera, folk, soft rock, some emo-rock, 80's and 90's music, and some 70's, vocal, Russian pop/rock, Asian music, and folk.
My favorite artists are...Sting, the Police, the Beatles, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Loreena McKennitt, Chloe Agnew, Utada Hikaru, Dmitry Koldun, Kutless, and Linkin Park.
I'm not sure how many of the artists write their own stuff, but Chloe Agnew and Loreena McKennitt sing new renditions of old folk songs or vocal songs.
So far, Linkin Park and Evanescence probably inspire me to write the most. The lyrics in their songs are beautiful and powerful, and they make me want to write stuff just as amazing.
*whew!*
'Nuff said?

I listen to mostly popular stuff such as Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, some rappers, a bit of Delta Goodrem, Evanescense, The Veronicas etc. Lately I've also really gotten into Carrie Underwood.
Mos of the above artists write or co-write their own songs, but not always.
The artists who inspire my music the most are probably Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood and Evanescense. -

Favorite Band is Blue October, and my favorite song of theirs is Fairy Tale (or Balance Beam). They do write their own songs! I love that about them. I'm not quite sure how they helpped me improve my song writing, but they inspired me to write a coursless song.
