Introduce Yourself!!

19 posts in this topic.

  1. Hello all!

Errrr, sorry, I was never good at these "INTRODUCE YOURSELF!" things. Erm, let's see. I love reading and romances are my favorite. My favorite books are The Lovely Bones,Shug, Flipped, and The Westing Game. My favorite authors are Kate Klise and Wendy Mass and...well...

That's basically it. I'm rereading what I've typed so far and I seem like a really boring person. Guh. Do not be afraid! I'm actually quite exciting-ish :D
  2. Hey. I'm kind of worried I'll be the only guy here, but whatever. Basically, I think there's a lot of untapped potential for romance stories aimed at teenage guys, and people don't take advantage of this because of some stereotype that all teen guys are sex crazed maniacs who don't want to deal with love (although there are a lot of those, sadly). That being said, I do feel like sex can be an important part of a romance novel, as long as it handled well and serves a purpose for the characters.

Can't really list any romance novels I like, though, cause I haven't found any good ones aimed at guys. If any of you have any suggestions, please let me know.
  3. Wow, Sploosh, your right. There really isn't any romance aimed at an audience guys.

Anyway, I'm new to the group. I am active in the Romance section because I love writing romance more than anything. If it's a really good book, it's going to have at least a smidge of romance somewhere. My favorite romance novels are Romeo and Juliet, Jane Austen's work, and those are just my favorite classics. The list goes on and on with my romance novels.
  4. hey guys I'm ShadowPrincess....I havent been on YWS in what seems like a million years but I'm glad to be back...I have exciting news: my novel, formerly called Black Hearts Blue Tears, is finally getting published! Isnt that amazing? Yeah I'm pretty happy. I'll talk to you later....
