Horror Forum on YWS

5 posts in this topic.

  1. Who thinks that there should be a horror forum on YWS? I mean, come on. It's a genre of its own. Squall and I were talking, and we thought about sending a petition to Nate, telling him that we should have a new horror forum for the YWS make-over.

Who agrees with me? Who disagrees with me? If you agree with me, let's discuss what we should do in the petition.

  2. As I wrote to Andy last night, it's not a question of people wanting a horror forum; it's a question of whether we actually need one. Originally, YWS did have a horror forum, but after two months, there was nothing there.
  3. I think it's kinda unnecessary. I mean, horror can quite easily fit into other categories--Zombies would be Sci-Fi, creepy ghosts in attics would be Fantasy, and I mean there's Other Fiction too. I haven't seen many horror pieces, in all honesty.

    But I don't look very hard :)

Well, we have the Olympics forum taking up old space. Does it really matter, though? It's over. There's no reason for it. On a lot of the writing sites that I've seen, they all have a horror forum. I think that if we have a designated forum for it, people will become more interested in it.

And does it really matter? Does YWS have a maximum number of forums it can hold? Would one more forum really hurt anyone, other than get people interested in horror?

  5. I should like to see a horror forum. It would really help those of us who are experimenting with horror. Also, I would like to see some non-romantic Vampire fiction.

If I'm going to burn, it might as well be bright.
