This is the film and media section. Films, Documentaries, you name it.
Here's some of my picks.
Pistachio Wars- Pistachio Wars is a 2024 political and environmental documentary. The documentary centers on Stewart and Lynda Resnick, owners of The Wonderful Company, which owns brands including Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful and Fiji Water. This is a pretty good documentary that showcases the dark side of the brand.
The Penguin Lessons- It's Set in 1976 during the political turmoil of a military-run Argentina and the film follows a cynical, disillusioned British teacher named Tom Michell (Steve Coogan) who takes a job at St. George's College. While visiting a beach in Uruguay, Tom rescues an oil-soaked Magellanic penguin, names him Juan Salvador, and brings him back to the boarding school. It's a great commentary on resilience and hope in a world run by fascism.
