PURPOSE -
> To be a place for Christian Conversation, Fellowship, Prayer, Learning, Sharing and Support on YWS.

> To bring glory to God by our words and actions.

WHO IS WELCOME -
While this club is expressly Christian (ie. for followers of Jesus Christ) people of other faith traditions, non-believers, seekers, and those still sorting their beliefs out are also welcome to join the club as long as they do not make this into a space of debate and treat members with respect, follow the rules, and don't impede our club's purpose.

We also understand that Christians come from all sorts of different places, denominations, cultures, and beliefs - while understanding that may in some cases prompt debate, generally /debate is not the purpose of this club/. Please feel free to stand up for what you believe, but understand that not every Christian has the same belief system as you do.

GROUND RULES -
Jesus Christ said the two greatest commandments were these: "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind and love your neighbor as yourself."

To that end, attacking or blaspheming God the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit will not be tolerated in this space (ie. do not use the Lord's name in vain, do not make disparaging comments about God, try not to say or post offensive things about God, and please capitalize God).

Making personal attacks towards members is also not tolerated. Religion can be a sensitive and heartfelt topic for many of us - while we're discussing issues, let's try to be attentive to expressing truth in the kindest way possible so that we can be a light to each other and the rest of the site.

An online writing community geared towards younger users is not really the most appropriate place to try to convert people from their already held belief systems. Feel free to shout the gospel from the roof-tops but disparaging other denominations, other religions, or other users, or turning preaching into harassment is strongly discouraged.

Also pulling a few of the rules from our https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5 (SD&D forums)...

1. No ad hominems or insults; criticize the idea, not the person. Saying "this is stupid" is okay. Saying "you are stupid" is not okay.

2. No profanity, vulgarity, toilet humor, or crass language. This includes acronyms and abbreviations like gtfo, lmao, and wtf.

3. Comments wishing any kind of harm on any person or group are not allowed. Specific threats will result in a temporary ban from the site.

4. What happens in debate stays in debate. Taking a debate to someone's wall uninvited counts as harassment and can result in a temporary ban from the site.

~~~
> If a member can't follow these rules they may be banned from the club at the discretion of the club admins, if site rules are broken, that concern will be reported to the YWS moderator team.
You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into… the Twilight Zone.
