Meal Planning // Part I // Finding Your Rotation Meals

1 post in this topic.

  1. I've tried so many different strategies for meal planning over the years, there isn't one structure I haven't tried. After so many years of trouble shooting, I'm excited to talk to you about my experiences with meal planning and offer my not-so expert, but very-well-intentioned advice.

Here is what I'll tell you about meal planning: it's all about balance. You're never going to have time to make 3 brand-spankin'-new recipes in one week, and you're never going to like that *one* vegetable that somehow makes it's way into everything.

The second thing you need to know is: it's also all about routine. And that's where Part One of our series comes in!

    Meal Planning: Rotation Meals

This is honestly going to be one of those things that's totally up to you to define. Sit down with a way to take notes, and write a list of all the meals you already feel comfortable executing— from grocery shopping to clean up. The list might be 2 items long, it might be 10! Reflect over a few days to ensure you've remembered all your classic favorites.

Include random side dishes or one-off's you enjoy making as well. And please— don't stress too much about how healthy or unhealthy your list is. We're focusing on wholistic goals, here! Don't forget, this is a body neutral and diet-culture free space! We are nourishing our bodies and taking care of our selves in 2023!!

If you want to be really fancy, outline the grocery list for each recipe and file it away for yourself for easy access!

We'll build on this list with more in Part Two, but this is a great first step towards having a consistent meal plan strategy for yourself!

I can't wait to cook with you, xoxo

I was flummoxed by fractious Franny's decision to abrogate analgesics for the moribund victims of the recent conflagration. Of course, to display histrionics was discretionary, but I did so anyways, implicating a friend in my drama to make the effect cumulative. I think a misanthrope would have a prosaic appellation, perhaps one related to autonomy and the rejection of anthropocentrism. I think they wouldn't think much of the prominence of watching the coagulation of tea to prognosticate future malevolent events, not even if those events were related to jurisprudence.
