Like yo, it's never to late to start posting poetry
I'll get things started with a...rather venty poem.
I look around for hope
But I’m stuck behind these bars
Battered by the scars
I pirouette through the night, all the stars alight
The moonlight shimmering, a white diamond
But I wake up
It’s just a vision in my head
My whole life, I’ve been told
To be the fire in the cold
But I can only burn so bright
Before everything in me dies
And what remains is bitter ice
Golden light streaks against the sky
A blazing flame amung the clouds
But I wake up
It’s just a vision in my head
They say that I am loved
But all I feel is emptiness
They tell me jealousy destroys
But still, I envy what could be
I glance about for peace
But find serenity has ceased
I’m imprisoned in this cage
Fighting useless rage
I twirl through the day, all the grass asway
The Sunlight glimmering, a scarlett ruby
But I wake up
It’s just a vision in my head
They say they care for me
But they abandon me to dust
They say they’d be lost without me
But still I battle solo -
Another poem? Yeah. I'm on a roll

I couldn’t help but notice
Something wracking your mind
And you had those tears streaming down your face
I know you think you must bear the worlds weight
I know you think you go through this alone
But I want you to know
Fire may fall
And burn your dreams to ash
Storms may rage
And toss your hopes away
Night may come
And cast you into shadow
But I’ll never leave you
Ash turns to growth
Rain turns to rainbows
Night turns to day
So cry those tears
And lean on my shoulder
I couldn’t help but notice
Something weighing on your heart
And you had that look in your eye
I know you think this will never end
I know you think the world is dark
But I want you to know
Death may strike
And steal your love away
Friends may leave
And break your happiness apart
Mountains may stand
And block your way to peace
But I am always with you
Death becomes life
Lonliness becomes friendship
And mountains make you stronger
So pour your heart out
And lean on my shoulder. -
WOW.You can write that long poems in one day?

Poem 1
Immortal Stardust
Putting things into the cosmic perspective
I've seen many reach for the stars and burn
Mans soul may be immortal stardust
But his heart is mortal rust forever tied
To the rythems of earth as vines to a tree
He may want to gyrate with galaxies
But he is only as strong as his humility
For we all live in silent night, illuminated
As we dance around life's campfire
Underneath the shadows of the sky
The distant lights of space a reminder
That even stars can fall. -
The beauty of this poem does not lie within it's prose, or structure-but within it's meaning.
Poem 2
I looked into a Mirrior and reeled back in horror
At the the monster that reflected back
Aong it's body I saw sea of welts, and scars
Cascading down it's length, I observed a long chain.
At last it spoke-''Remember the pain.''
Then I recalled the prison that had once held me,
And, the shadows of despair that loomed along it's walls and
The the cell of regret that trapped me within it's confines,
Then I recollected, the prison gaurds of rage that had consumed
My will to live, and beat me until I was on my knees
How could I have forgotten the humility, the trauma?
And with the clairity of sunlight I knew the monsters identity
The monster was me, and I was the monster. -
I'll be turning in an edited version of this-
I cannot make you see the sun
You only see the shadow
But maybe that's okay
With no light
The stars
Shine
