Hi everyone!
Preferred Name: Biscuits/Bisc/some people call me Biscotti but tbh I don't fully understand what that is.

What do you want to know? I'm mostly volunteering to answer any questions I can, but I do always find that I know very little about medical transitioning processes. It's important to recognise that all trans people undergo medical treatment, but some do, and I keep finding out things about various procedures that I didn't know.
What do you write? Currently I'm writing some children's adventure sci-fi, which does contain some gender neutral characters. However, they're a gender neutral species which I'm not sure I like counting as representation because it suggests that not having two sexes is the only way to value the gender binary less.
Anyway, I have a couple of other projects on my mind set in the real world of teenagers and young adults where trans issues could definitely come up. If anyone would like to read a story about uni students running a radio station, or a young girl being suddenly transported to the afterlife to meet an uncle she barely knew when he died... stay tuned for quite some time I guess? -

What do you want to know? Well, I've got a young intersex character who presents as female but is a bit confused about her identity. She's not a main character and I'd like to know several things: How do I refer to her at this delicate stage in her life? How do I portray an intersex character without making it a significant aspect of the story?
What do you write? Mainly medieval fantasy, sometimes science fiction. My current project is in the former category and is a bit Game of Thrones-y. The world my characters are in are a bit more accepting of queer characters, but gender is still restricted for them. My character in the answer above is in this world. -

What do you want to know? How do I casually write in a trans character to a story without making a big deal out of it? What offhand comments can I make that make clear their identity but don't make being trans all their character is for?
What do you write? Usually just rambles and fanfiction (it's hard to write my own material recently) but realistic fiction used to be my thing!
