I felt like we maybe needed a forum section completed devoted to the blue square deal since it seems to be so big.
There's still a possibility that it means something different or in addition to my Blue Screen of Death Theory but if we take that as a given - I think we need to start discussing how to stop it.
1) How to stop the spread of the blue squares.
2) How to stop the plot of shutting down/changing the site from happening.
3) How to ultimately stop the classified hashtag from spreading.
Some ways we can put pressure on "classified crew" is to continue to have a firm #unclassified presence, because if they know their secrets are being exposed as quickly as they're being released they might give it a break.
But I think we should think of other ways to create possible counter-movements to the Blue Screen of Death. If anyone has any ideas either on the Blue Square discussion or how to combat the Blue Squares please drop your comment below.

I think we should also try to figure out why. Why would they want this in the first place? What would they stand to gain from terminating the site?
If we know why, perhaps we can work something out peacefully. -
Just a thought...could the blue squares be a campaign to change the YWS background? It's a different shade of blue, which might be perceived as brighter/happier.
Or maybe they're protesting something (like many Internet campaigns that involve changing profile pics), but if that's the case, they would make their cause more clear to show why they're changing the profile pic. They would also encourage people to join their cause instead of being all secretive. -
I almost wonder if the blue is meant to blend in with the background. I get that it's a different shade, but the symbolism of it could still stand. Perhaps their choosing of a color so similar to the background is symbolic of them attempting to blend in and stay under the radar?

Lol, this is just a wild guess but there could be a Bluebook Project, connection-After all classified is about staying undercover like a spy organization, and the similarity between the names are strange coincidence. Plus this site is about writing...and well books, plus it's theme color is blue.
Then again there could be more to it then that. Maybe it's a reference to some other culture, in which blue squares are significant? Or here's an interesting one-there is some sort of anime gang called the Blue Squares...the problem is the title of the show they appear on is not well known to my knowledge.
I'll look into it some more.
As for ways to stop it? How about having undercover spies over in the classified gang...but wait, that'd be too easy.
I definitely agree with @alliyah. Spreading our hashtag or at least our name should intimidate them...we could also encourage more users to keep their avatars, and join our club.

I'm against anything undercover because that goes against our mission of being unclassified - I really like where you're going for the blue connected conspiracy though.

I can absolutely see how that would be connected to the Blue Screen of Death theory. I don't know if real aliens or metaphorical aliens are involved though - perhaps metaphorical, and by that I mean AIs. -
Yeah...but the question is...what could be the purpose for metaphorical aliens? Does that have something to do with their plans? And how could be find out if it's real or metaphorical aliens?
