  1. Run, run for your lives! The portal has opened, they're coming, they're coming for us all! Help me! They're summoning something darker!
    Hope is in the proles!

I think we all know what that means-something dangerous is coming to Y.W.S.
But what could the ''hope is in the proles'' mean? According to the novel 1812, prole was a word that referred to a society of people where everyone was equal and had an equal amount of work.
Could that mean our ''answer'' lies in a time in the past when there was a more equal/active amount of moderators?
  2. (I think "Atlantic" may be a word play on Atlantis, just as a side-note,
also if "skellies" is short for skeletons, perhaps classified is going to uncover old YWS secrets (ie. skeletons in the closet), awake formerly inactive users, or just bring YWS back into the olden times ie. past, or all three.

I think the repetition of warp & woof is also important ->
    warp = time-warp??
woof = reference to the sound a dog makes, ie. big brother
so will the time warp, also include BB as well as normal YWSers?)

@EverLight, I appreciate all of this good detective work you are doing, do you think you can put these in a WFP to update your discoveries with this set of poems just for convenience - I'm getting a lot of notifications and I have a feeling there will be many with this collection! :) That way we can all check in as we come up with more things! I'll be sure to take a look at it periodically.
  3. That's all the analyzing I could do for today (:
  4. Need help from a robot or code-breaker please!!

  5. It says, quite ominously,
"Hello unclassified. It's been a while."
  6. It's a long shot but is anyone here adept at translating parrot body-language & vocalizations? We have a new user that's been putting out a series of cryptic messages and gifs and I'd really like to get to the bottom of it.

@Featherstone I don't know of your allegiances to classified / unclassified - but I feel like your bird expertise might be helpful here.

In particular I'm concerned about this gif
    Spoiler
    Image

^ it is accompanied by the text "Ca-caw?" and was left on my profile as well as our ally @yeoldeorick's wall. Should we take this as an act of aggression? a taunt? a playful gesture? something else? why would a bird roll like this? Any insight is appreciated!

Also does the overall behavior the profile make you think a bird is behind it, or someone posing to be a bird?
  7. Why, I daresay this is a playful bird--and a true bird indeed! The creature that you behold is a BLUE GOLD MACAW, a rather common species of macaw in terms of pets, with much better personalities than their crimson cousins. However...no parrot should ever say ca-caw. I daresay there's something suspicious here...
  8. Thank you for lending your help & expertise @Featherstone you confirm my worries that something cryptic is afoot. Good to know it appears to truly be a bird though! Hmmmm...

  11. That's a basic Caesar shift cipher written by someone that's toying with us.

It says "Bored, and need something to decode? Well, here ya go. Congratulations if you've figured out that I've written this in Caesar Cipher code"
  12. Oof. Now I feel stupid for making you do that.

hmmm. you know, the quote generator deserves some garlic bread
