   Yay whole week of poetry! I hope to do at least a poem a day. And hopefully not have them all about stars lol.

   the shadows are my friends
   
   the shadows are my friends
   they lurk in the corners
   and hide from the light
   they welcome me among them
   and fold me into their mysterious depths
   when i have no one to turn to
   i can always find a shadow to embrace
   i may sound crazy
   and i might be
   but the only thing i've found to be constant
   is the shadow in the corners
   who won't question me as a friend
   
   
   (Wow that turned dark fast whoops xD)

   a love for the stars
   a piece of my heart has been given away
   no, not to a lover
   but to the stars, in a way
   
   i've fallen in love
   with somethings too far away
   but my heart has a place for the stars up above
   
   so come lay down with me
   let us love the stars together
   with wonder and peace and joy so carefree
   
   (... Wow. I just rhymed. And by my own free choice. Wow.
   Haha but it still managed to be about stars xD)

   crackle crackle pop
   flames reach for the sky
   lick the wood hungrily
   pop crackle crinkle
   warm cold fingers
   toast white sugar puffs
   pop crackle whoosh
   sparks fly to the stars
   glittering high above
   crackle pop pop
   we're gathered 'round the fire
   everyone singing
   me, my friends, the flames, and the stars
