If you'd like to help out SAW but can't participate, or you want to participate and help, consider filling these roles!

1: Guides --

You can sign up to review contestants' works as they're published via the site. You won't be required to review non-published works, but your feedback would be much appreciated by whichever contestant you'd be reviewing. Your contestant would be randomly assigned to you at some point in Week 1 -- if they choose to quit and you want to keep reviewing, you can let me know and I'll find someone else you can help out.

This position is ideal for people who want to review and help, but can't -- or don't want to -- actually participate in the competition. Your reward: all the points you'll get from reviewing! 4 full-length reviews every month garners you at least 500 points, right? But also I'll be glad to offer some reviews and cool graphics for any Guides who participate.

2: Allies, an idea lifted from LMS --

As a competitor -- so you must be writing -- you can sign up to be someone else's Ally. (Both of you have to be into it, because it's kind of a you-scratch-my-back deal.) You and your Ally will agree to review any posted stories and offer feedback in a timely manner.

Basically, Allies are Guides who are also participating in the competition, and it's an agreement reached between two (or more) people.

If anyone (or two or three) would be interested in either of these things, comment below and I'll work out some cool graphic buttons for you to add to your thread/signature/whatever!
