   My Roommate is Suspicious
   

   Elevator Pitch:

   
   I (Kyle) have just started uni life and everything’s awesome! Sure, I have responsibilities now like cooking, bills, and cleaning, but it’s fine! :,D
   Anyways, I have this totally awesome roommate who’s like really kind, and super handsome (imtotallystr8btw). BUT… I sometimes wonder if there’s somethis else behind his kind facade. Like… the fact that he’s a demon.
   A slice of life comic where it turns out that your roommate’s a demon. Don’t worry though! He’s nicer than 99.827% of the guys you met in your highschool (not that that’s a high bar to clear).
   Join us as we explore the comedic (and somtimes terrifying) daily life of Kyle as he tries to act normal while living with his demonic roommate.

   Kyle Myles Dyleswood - Main Character #1
   Starting his first year of college, 19 year old Kyle has moved out and learns the harsh world called reality. Though life gets hard, he´s got a dependable and kind roommate. What could possibly go wrong?
   Justin Time Krvhwsnhykh - Main Character #2
   Though he might be a being of unimaginable strength and horror, who has come from the underworld, Justin has been tryting to live a normal life with a few demonic rituals and sacrifices here and there to maintain his power. Even though he was cautious ever since he was a kid to not let others know about his identity, he decided to get a roommate in his new chapter of campus life. what could POSSIBL Y go wrong??!!
   Eleanor Spruce - Side Character #1
   Being childhood friends with Kyle, Eleanor has a really good knack of getting in and out of all sorts of places, causing many troubles during her school days. Now that she is a fully fledged adult; a member of society, her antics and shenanigans have only grown bigger. Who knows, maybe her mischeveous skills might provide to be useful in future chapters. For now though, she is just here to chill and be a friend for Kyle at hard times.
   San Megan l′Vania - Side Character #2
   Ever since they met in middle school, San and Kyle have been best friends ever since. He hangs out with Eleanor alot and they are somewhat of a duo, with San having more of a knack for computers and coding. San is also a part-time animal lover and loves all animals. He is convinced that Justing is a deer because of the horns he saw that one time. Justin being a Pandemonium bringing demon doesnt even cross his mind.
   Carol Belarian - Side Character #3
   Besides Kyle, Carol is the only other person on Earth to know of Justin’s ability. She found out during kindergarten. Of course, Justin knows that Carol knows that Justin knows that if Carol says a thing about his secret to anyone else, she’s as good as dead meat. But Carol is crafty and has the wits to basically gaslight anyone, including a demon ever since a young age.

   Eldriswood High: The high school that Justin went to.
   Myston High: The highschool that Kyle went to.
   Myston Metropolis Middle School: The middle school that both Kyle and Justin coincidentally went to. No, they didnt know each other back then.
   Belsbub Elementary: The school Justin went to.
   Cyruswoods Elementary: The school Kyle went to.
   Elia Kindergarten: The kinderten that Carol and Justin went to.
   MystNU (Myston National Uneiversity) - The top university in the Myston Metropolis and one of the highest universities in Helenia. Also the uni that everyone in this story managed to get into. idk, this world has barely any realism, lets just make everyone get into the top uni okay?
   Myston: The fictional place where this story takes place. Myston is a beautiful city with bustling life. It is inspired by various cities in real life, primarily being Tokyo and Amsterdam.
   Ehsmir: Justin’s hometown.

   Height: 5'8" (173cm)
   Eye colour: Black
   Hair colour: Black, but like to argue it's really really realllyyyyyy dark brown
   Physical appearance: imagine your typical scrawny college student. He has two flyaway hairs that look like bird wings on top of his head. He says it's a stylistic choice. Others say it's bedhair.
   Unique physical attributes:
   Favourite clothing style/outfit: A cool t-shirt with artwork in the front, and anything navy for his pants.
   Favourite shoes/footwear: Crocs with shoes
   Defining gestures/movements: walks around with his eyes glued to a smartphone 24/7
   Speaking style: imagine lower caps being a personality. like this.
   Things about their appearance they would most like to change: height (we stan a short king tho... right? haha;;;)
   Physical health: Somehow healthy
   Pet peeves: People being late
   Fondest memory: When he was 8, his parents took him to a K-barbeque. His world changed that day.

   Where do they live? What is it like there? -- A fictional city called Myston. It's basically identical to your everyday big cities.
   Description of their home: A dorm with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There's a gaming system in the livingroom.
   Description of their room: Very messy with half his clothes on "the chair"
   Family (describe): Mother Tiffany(forgets the middle child a lot), Father Samuel(Only time they talk is when Kyle needs allowance), Granny Kelly(Kyle is her favorite child), Younger sister Eline (Entitled as heck. But has some very cute moments like when she gave a rose to Kyle and Jack for Valentines), Older Brother Jack (Likes to tease his younger brother. Currently works in accounting.)

   Spooktober Question Prompts!!

   
   
   1. What does the setting of your novel look like in the fall? Does it even have seasons?
   To answer the second question, yes this world has seasons! In the city of Myston, the Autumn months bring about a variety of unique and beautiful changes. The leaves turn a bright red, the air becomes a crisp temperature, perfect for drinking a hot cup of coffee--pumpkin spice lattes are not a thing in this place... and most importantly, rain. Because this place has weather inspired by the British Isles, the weather is almost always terrible! Especially during late summer and early winter, heavy rainpour is basically nonstop, and you can expect all the clothes you wear to be soaking wet if you forget an umbrella. However, this has also made it so that the Autumn months have a unique side to them. Instead of going to pumpkin patches and trick-o-treating, residents of Myston and the surrounding areas like to gather during the weekends during this time and watch the rain, have a nice cup of hot whatever drink that they like best, and play boardgames.
   
   2. If your main character existed on Earth in a place that celebrates Halloween, what would they do? (Ex: go trick-or-treating, give out candy, hide in the house with the lights off...)
   Kyle would definitely go out trick-o-treating even tho he is a Uni student, while Justin would use his powers for mischief, either scaring kids that come on and knock on his door, or make literal skeletons rise from the dead just for laughs.
   
   3. How do each of your side characters feel about horror movies?
   Eleanor would enjoy watching horror movies, especially when it comes to home invasion movies. San and Carol on the other hand, would probably get scared watching even nightmare before christmas.
   
   4. Choose a character and describe a fall outfit of theirs, or how they would dress up for Halloween.
   Carol would have a very trad-wife style dress with a picnic hat with an orange ribbon. If she were to dress up for halloween however, she would definitely wear makeup to transform herself into a red demon. Horns and everything.
   
   5. Pick two characters with some kind of relationship (family, partners, enemies) and describe an activity they'd do in the fall.
   As Justin and Kyle are roommates, they live under the same roof. Besides the Demonic ritual that happens here and there throughout the year, they would most likely bake a nice batch of warm cookies, prepare hot water for their favorite tea bag, and watch a nice indie horror movie while the rain knocks on their window.
   
   6. Are there any spooky or suspenseful moments in your novel? Share a line with us if you have one!
   "It might have been because I was tired from driving over 100 miles today, but when I looked at the rear-view mirror, I saw the child’s eyes glow red." -excerpt from Justin’s childhood.
   
   7. Is there a special food that people in your novel eat or a drink they drink in the fall?
   The sale of hot drinks explode during Fall season because of the chilly, rainy weather. Recently, a local specialty known as "Mystic Coco" has been trending. It is made by using three to one ratio of cocoa powder and espresso powder. Then, pour it in lavender infused teamed milk, a drop or two of vanilla extract, and lavender petals covered in sugar powder sprinkled on top.

   Most Challenging Character:

   
   The most challenging character I had to write for is definitely Justin.He’s not only the only "special" character in the story, being a demon and all, but also the one with the most amount of backstory needed. Although most of the story is just a slice of life without any real depth in the story that’s deeper than the synopsis, I had to do a lot of character and worldbuilding for Justin.
   Because I don’t like tropes of "Oh, he’s just a magical demon, of course this random thing is possible," and want to actually create at least a bit of reasoning as to why those things happen. I had to dig alot deeper into the psychological build-up of the character than I originally intended to.
   This has also allowed me to, however, more deeply understand the character I’m writing, and build sympathy for him, making me reconsider if I should write a full on backstroy of birth-present for all my characters (definitely a bad idea lol).
